    Mel Britt R.I.P

Some fantastic stories and memories of Mr Britt - it must have been a wonderful experience for those people who met him. He sounds like a real gentleman. It is indeed sad that he has passed away - but what a legacy he leaves behind. Thousands of people will have danced to his record(s) - and many more will continue to dance to, listen to and love his wonderful music. I'll make a toast to you Sir, Mr Mel Britt - and turn up the volume. Peter

  6. Oops, you beat me to it Stevie! Peter
  7. Mm, very interesting. And the record is? Peter
  8. It all seems a bit harsh and overly up and at em to me. I've seen lots of good records on that site. Peter
  9. Hi mate Pretty sure I saw one sell at £800 last year - could be wrong though. All good here Jason - hope the same with you. Peter

  14. I like the mid tempo vibe to the record buddy - it is good. I think there may have been a thread on here a bit back about the record. There was certainly a discussion taking place about records being recorded by GI's who were posted in Germany - and I think there may some similar background to this - could be wrong. Peter
  15. Hi Dave No problem mate. I love lots about the record - but love the spoken intro. Curtis is so cool - he was a poet and musical genius and as you say sooo relevant to today. He was probably also the father of drum and bass! Peter
  16. Hi Pete Mm, Sam did play it didn't he. It's funny how we all like or dislike stuff. I've always thought that this is a super dance track. Peter
  17. Good Evening Prof Yes, good here Sir. I have a bottle of three year old Cuban rum open - it is radiating sunshine and warmth! I hope all is well with you and Paula and raise my glass as a toast to all of you. Peter
  18. Don't know much about who has got what of this record - although I ain't got one! But, this is one hell of a soul record - loved it back in the day and it still sounds fecking awesome when I bang it out at home today. I had this down as a Sir Dickie play - is that not correct? Peter
  19. Good Evening Mr Jason and Mr Kev I too concur - great record. So is Sonia Ross - great cross over. Probably £800? Peter
  20. Hi Sean Good to hear from you - hope you're well. Eric was a lovely lad - a big dancer like myself and the rest of our "team". I can't believe no else has replied - BUMP!
