  1. I think he was a trad northern dj thinking back. Things like Night of the Wolf are emerging from the fogginess! Could be totally wrong of course. Peter
  2. Interesting thread Patto. I thought exactly the same when reading the Bub birthday thread a short while ago. I saw the old lad dj a bit at Cleethorpes Winter Gardens and can't for the life of me remember what he use to play. Peter
  3. Both good spins Sean I suspect that the Cut Glass is somewhat easier and should be about £20 on 20th Century. I have the 12 which goes on a bit! Peter
  4. I'm not sure if mine or Danny's paths crossed - you never know who you know over the years. Anyway, that mattters not and I am sorry to hear that he has passed away. Bless you Danny boy. Peter
  5. Both nice records. Always assumed BK was album only as I've never seen a 45. Peter
  6. It wasn't lost on me Pete - I thought it was funny and responded accordingly. P
  7. Hi Ste Yep, all good here buddy. Just winding down with Gordon(s)! Thanks for the advice mate I'll look into it. I do need a new hobby. Take care mate. Peter
  8. Ok Pete. As I've mentioned before I had quite a few records stolen years ago and then lost heart and sold a load more. I then lost some in a gas explosion and others were covered in debris and dust. My nickname is Lucky. I have some bits left and have recently found my "dirty box" which has some other nice bits from the explosion in - forgot I had em. I've been buying bits and bobs recently although nothing expensive, including albums. My love these days is 70's and some of the more down tempo 60's. Nowt on a wall or in anything showy. As I say I have a load of stuff just chucked in a box - some with no sleeves on. I'm in the process of geting some shelving done - if I can keep my ass motivated! Peter
  9. Mm, ain't too shabby either. Peter
  10. Ay up Dave I didn't know that. I'll go and check that out. Peter
  11. The Nottingham Peregrine chicks are getting their wings! Just captured this live. Peter
  12. Spotted a House Martin on my wall at home this morning - had to check as I wasn't sure. Pretty exciting. http://www.rspb.org.uk/community/cfs-filesystemfile.ashx/__key/communityserver-blogs-components-weblogfiles/00-00-01-88-34/1374.house-martin.jpg Peter
  13. No probs mate. I keep forgetting your name is Pete! Peter
  14. I agree entirely Roburt. I posted earlier that his career had been unusual. I guess he must have had a bit of money for him to have been able to purchase the Cold Duck night club. Very strange. Peter
  15. They are very much in decline mate - a 70% reduction in the last 30 years. Peter
  16. Nice one Gogs. This one is the spitting image of Little Smith. I had him for 18 years and lost him three years ago. Bought a tear to my eye has that. Peter
  17. He looks like a nice pal to go walking with Pete. Peter
  18. I think I have a good eye for a photograph it's getting to grips with all the kit that puts me off. Even down to knowing what to buy etc. Perhaps I need to invest a little time in taking a look at the whole caboodle. Cheers matey. Peter
  19. Beautiful Pete. We have quite a few breeding pairs of swans on the Grantham canal nearby. Always have to steel yourself walking past the parents if they are on the toe path with the cygnets! They can be quite intimidating - which is good. Lovely creatures. It's something special watching the young learn to fly and have seen many a take off and landing error! Peter
  20. Hi Davie I keep thinking that I would like to take up photography as a hobby. I'm not very good with technology though and have very little patience in terms of reading manuals and instructions - I just want to go! It all seems very complicated to me. Do you think I should look out for a night school class or something like that? Peter
  21. These are a bit better - just took them. The female sure is pretty! Peter
  22. Wow! That's beautiful Davie. Peter
  23. Here's a couple of pics I've just captured from our Nottingham Peregrine Web Cam - see other thread. The first one is of the nest with the female on the ledge over looking the city. This one is a not too brilliant one of the chicks nearing three weeks old. I'll get a better one tomorrow. Peter
