    I'm with Andy on this one. The scene has had some great dancers, some good dancers, lots of average dancers and some shite dancers. Obviously, I was brilliant mesen. What sets the soul scene apart in my view is the love of the music - not some purist pursuit of perfect dance moves. As for the the "acro" or tricks as they used to be callled - I fecking hated all that shit, and was pleased when the majority of people knockeed it on the head. If I'm honest I was shit at "floor work" anyway. I am sure there will be many that disagree. Peter

    I reckon it was Sir Dickie Pete. A few others too not long after. It was a huge record and deservedly so. I used to sing a couple of odd lines at home at me mams over and over again.     He was always smiling! I never really knew him - he was one of the "older lads" and a dj. Whenever I see a picture of him he has that look of a proper, down to earth, old fashioned type yorkshire lad. I'm not really sure what I mean by that but it's meant as a compliment. Peter
