  1. I certainly would have tooted Amanda mate. It was some geezer with dark hair driving - didn't see anyone else in there. Petre
  2. Seen a few recently too Jim. Not enough to effect the price though. Peter
  3. I suspect so Steve. A decent bit of kit it was too. My mate Terry from Lincolnshire has a camper van - but it wasn't him or his van. Terry's van is much more undesirable - mm, so is Terry for that matter. Pretty sure I didn't recognise the driver as I over took. Peter
  4. I've been driving that route to work for ten years and have never seen it before so logic would suggest it's someone new to the area or they were travelling somewhere from home. We can rule out a scottish fellow from Notts. Peter
  5. You bugger! Is it your van though? I would have thought you would have had the Saint Andrews Cross on your bumper if it was yours. It's a nice van. Peter
  6. Is that a joke Richard? That's not me you're referring to if it isn't a joke - I just followed behind you for a bit trying to read the smaller writing on the left side back of the camper van. What does that say - I could read "minute" and maybe "holiday"? I can assure you that I was most courteous in my driving. I wouldn't road rage a fellow souler! Peter
  7. Was driving to Loughborough and to work this morning. Got behind a while camper type van towing a trailer. The trailer had a bull dogs head design on it and the spare wheel cover on the camper van had northern soul and the famous fist design on it. The bonnnet of the camper van has a union jack on it. Anyone know who it belongs to - just curious to know if I know them from SS or elsewhere. I didn't recognise the driver. Peter
  8. Yep, I often play it at work. Love the drums etc. Peter
  9. Grrr! You beat me to it Chalkmeister! Peter
  10. Hi Andy No. Here you go buddy. https://www.60sgaragebands.com/detroitsoul.html Peter
  11. Seen the Barry White programme before I think. If it's the one filmed in the 70's its fantastic - a real close up show. Peter
  12. So, in a nut shell, the consensus - albeit it a small one, is that we've already done this to death and the only person who obviously likes to repeat himself is ...............................................................Peter. He's got a lot to answer for that lad. P
  13. Now then Bearsy Hope yer well fella. Two of my best all niters were Clifton Hall at Rotherham - brilliant music, brilliant crowd and we always made a weekend of it. Cleethorpes Winter Gardens - under Steve Crofts stewardship. Again, just the right time for me - music, crowd etc. Loads of others of course - but they're my top two. Peter
  14. It's only 12 euros though Ian - and nearly a minter. Peter
  15. I don't know why but I'm quite surprised at £3k. As has been said it's a nice record. Peter
  16. I'm quite happy to vouch for Rod on that one. Peter
  17. I've just released a whole new set of cd's under the Backbeats banner. Sorry Ian, couldn't resist than one. Peter
  18. I get mixed up with stuff like this Pete. So, it's just a very limited run to produce a few copies which could be sold at gigs - is that right? Peter
