  3. Hi Garry Hope yer well mate. The Hurt So Bad is the record which got me going on the Delfonics. It is acrually available on an obscure Jamaican 45 release - I don't have one but would like one. I started a thread on it last week - here it is Quite interesting. Cheers P Peter
  4. Just bought a copy of the Delfonics I Told You So. Very nice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jb73XTtbyhw Peter
  5. Might have been Poke at Clifton Hall. Wouldn't wager me glass of stout on it though! Peter
  6. You bugger Clive! The stout was your idea! LOL Apologies for the off topic posts. However, Mr Manships auction proved to be a rather fruitless affair this week - nothing there of my liking at all. Anyyway, I only buy ten bob proper soul records these days. Mademoiselle Chocolat
  7. Not my cup of cha either Mr Frankford - orrible! Not much on this weeks auction that tickles my fancy at all. I am forgiven . I didn't actually shout at them just raised my voice and put my foot down. As you know I apologised to them both afterwards - I'm always big enough to say sorry. I took your advice - I had one night booze free and last night I had just two bottles of Youngs Double Chocolate Stout - chilled. Nice.
  8. Evening Prof Stop beating around the bush now. Nice
  9. I made a mistake too first time I bought from there. Made the payment before the shipping had been added and received a right snotty email from the selller - something like "Yeah, I do shipping for free you mug". No need for that I thought - so I told him to stick it! Peter
  10. Charters Arms mate. Peter
  11. Afternoon Prof S Here you go buddy Nice
  12. Just had a play of this - can't remember it from back then but I just bought one cheap. Peter
  13. Cheers Paul
  14. I think this is in the right place. Anyone use Discogs or Gemm to sell or buy stuff? Any preference? I've been using Discogs a fair bit recently to buy stuff. Just joined Gemm and they appear to have lots more users and lots more stuff for sale. Any views? Thanks Peter
  15. So it was Neil Page with that record box! Always thought it was a geezer called Henry. Peter
  16. Happened at Cleggy one night too Alan - luckily at the time I only lived up the road as you know. Peter
  17. Yep, was aware that it had been flattened mate. Is the Charters Arms still there? Peter
  18. I forgot the link in my post Kirk - it was here https://www.discogs.com/buy/Vinyl/Carstairs-It-Really-Hurts-Me-Girl/77821180?ev=bp_det Sounds like you're sorted now anyway. Peter
  19. Indeed it is Ted. One of those atmospheric records that has it all - and that extra, hard to put your finger on thingy. It's in the same vein as Cecil Washington imo. Peter
