I'm always intrigued about how stuff like this appears - apart from the obvious dealers/collectors routes. Must still be things like this that people not in the know find - I like them stories.
As has already been said its a record of the highest order isn't it - absolutely fabulous dance floor record.

Evening Paul
Interesting stuff mate thanks. I don't really mind which was first but Dusty's version just doesn't do it for me and comes in as an easy second. Like I said earlier it's all very subjective isn't it.
Anyway, hope you're well Sir.

Probably well known but I'm going to post it anyway - super, super soul music from that brilliant Hi label from Memphis.

Nice pick Kieran
From the pens of Bobby Womack and Jerry Butler. Got a version of this by Al Perkins which I think is the first one - I could be wrong. Mr Deep Dave T will put me right if I am.

The Chimes - Beginning Of My Life
The Hesitations - Is That The Way To Treat A Girl
The Lovelites - This Love Is Real
Joe Simon - Georgia Blues
Chuck Armstrong - How Sweet It Is
Just five of a load of stuff from my home sets. Mid tempo all the way for me.

Another personal choice for me - has this been hammered? I don't know but its a cracking soul record imo.
