  1. Been catching up and just reminded myself what a fantastic thread this is. Apologies but I couldn't help but post this. http://youtu.be/E2VCwBzGdPM Well done everyone. Peter

A truly great artist who led an interesting and often sad life. What a wonderful legacy he has left us. Yesterday afternoon I picked up one of his cd's to play in the car. As I got near Lincoln I got stuck in traffic and decided to put Bobby on. I opened the cd case and it was empty. Funny that. Peter

Brilliant news that Martin's recovery continues - but also that he is in good spirits. Cheers Dave Peter
  7. Hi Steve I think there's a thread running about this already mate. Peter
  8. I wonder if Ady has actually spoken to any of the councillors - rather than just the officer he mentions. LICENSING AND COMMUNITY PROTECTION COMMITTEE Members List Councillor M Barrow - Chair (Labour) CABINET Members List Councillor C Shaw — Chair (Leader of the Council) (Labour) Councillor M. Burnett — Deputy Chair (Deputy Leader of the Council) (Labour) Peter
  9. No one - I misread it. I'll leave it unedited so that people can see what a fool I am.
  10. Didn't you know that it's very rude to ask a DJ his age. Mr Barnyfather is 123 years young. He doesn't look it though does he. Nice
  11. Well done Mike for sorting and well done all for donating. A fitting gesture from our (not so little) little global community. Peter
  12. Yep, using spiders webs Martyn - so the nest can move and be flexible. Amazing picture Sir. Peter
  13. Well done Mike. Peter
  14. Well done Chalky. A fitting tribute to Bob and I'm sure something which answered lots of questions for many people - certainly me. Top man. Peter
  15. Yes, I knew that Rob. Just wanted to send a message of friendship. Peter
  16. You'll miss your friend Rob - but you'll never need to feel lonely with all us Brits. You've more Brit friends than you could shake a stick at. Your friend. Peter
  17. Like everyone else I'm shocked and saddened to hear this. I only knew Bob - Boba, from SS - an amazingly knowledgeable man. Peter

Hi Mats I hope you are well. Thanks for keeping up with the podcasts. Always something different to appreciate. All the best. Peter
  19. I had a Charles Johnson Kev. It was one of the records that I had stolen many moons ago. Peter
  20. Dirty little fecker.
  21. Didn't know that Pete. Like you say very one sided and unfair.
  22. Evening All Not a massive issue this but one that has been on my mind for a while. So thought I'd start a thread - and think this is the best place forum wise. Anyway, when it comes to buying/selling how do people view giving feedback? I'm generally happy with most of my purchases and always give feedback as soon as I've received the record. There is the odd occasion where I might forget) I see it as part of the process and as a contribution to the good of the overall market place. Not just talking about SS, but places like Discogs and eBay too. So, am I being poncy? My point is that some people appear never to give feedback but more annoying is that some people appear to play a game of "I will if you do". So they always wait for you to give feedback before they do. Even if they're in a position to give feedback first - often the seller. Is it just me? Any other views? Peter
  23. Great stuff everyone - thanks and well done. I've run out of likes. Peter
  24. Now this is a proper Northern Soul record. Peter
