  1. Have you heard a record recently at home and instantaneously you're right in the zone. I just played this and ................... Peter
  2. It would take far more than that to offend me Mick I obviously know you - but which Mick are you. Confidentially like, and I wouldn't want to be outed, but I wore a pair of denim bags to the Birmingham Locarno once. Peter
  3. I mean, like, err, there were lots of flares and vests though.................................... Peter
  4. Bit of an old thread; a bit like me. But; this has had lots of exposure hasn't it? I'm happy to be corrected, but it's been played all over the place for yonks. I like it. Peter
  5. It's worth having a go at the poster - for Hilda's sake. Peter
  6. Extremely credible interpretations of the originals. Nice listening. Peter
  7. Really old thread this. But does anyone whose still on the site know if Steve Bradley, named here was the Steve from Boston (0riginally) Thanks. Peter
  8. I don't understand this stuff at all - and I can't be the oldest person on the site. I guess I must just be thick. In fact, I seem to recall now, I am thick. Peter
  9. There's a few bit's of stuff floating around our screens then but nothing that appears to have been really rated by many of us. I'm currently watching Bitter Daisies season 1 which I'm enjoying, happy to recommend that. It's a Spanish crime thriller on Netflix. Bitter Daisies (TV Mini Series 2018–2020) - IMDb score 7.1 Peter Just finished Season 1 - it get's better and better, so now, I'm giving it "Highly Recommended".
  10. So like, is it, or isn't it. And it appears that for now, at least, that remains the question. Peter
  11. I haven't bothered with this as I saw the film ages ago. Sounds like I should at least give it a go. Peter
  12. Well, you're SS's Mr Telescope/Astral man, and if it's no good for you then it's no good for me! How about anyone else. Thanks for the heads up Mike - I had no idea. Peter
  13. Wow! That's a 10 out of 10 review Mike, at least by the sound of it. I haven't been to the cinema since 1996! That was also when I last went on holiday. The film was The DaVinci Code - not great really, although I thought the book was excellent. Peter
  14. Mm, I'm not sure about that, unless of course you mean just 60's Davey. (I apologise if I've got your name wrong - I'm assuming that Davey is your first name - it's my second name!). I don't think he was into anything newer than very early 70's. I don't recall him ever playing anything other than big, well known 60's records. Peter
  15. Wow, that's a nice sum - into his estate. I don't think he had any children. It's more than I thought it would fetch, but what do I know. Thanks Russ. Peter
  16. Hi Eddie We are both well, thank you. I hope all is well with you and yours. From memory, and I was very young at that time (), I certainly think he was collecting and had some records. I also think that he was dj'ing too, although not headlining anywhere. The purchase of Nev's collection would have been a significant addition. I'm really happy to be corrected on any of that but he was certainly known at the time. All the best my friend, I hope you have a good week. Peter Thanks for everyone's contributions so far; I don't want to run out of likes! Peter
  17. I was discussing TC with my friend Preacher Man; real name Paul, he's a retired pastor, last Wednesday. Anyway, probably done before, but does anyone know what happened to his record collection? There must have been some decent stuff in there as, as we all know he bought Nev's collection. Thanks Peter
  18. Interesting thread. I would never have guessed (I'm not sure why), that Eddie was even on 77. I'm interested to see the final verdict. Peter
  19. Great stuff, thanks Karl. You always come up with the goods. I hope you're all well mate. Peter
  20. Here are a couple from me - just with my phone at home; I still don't leave the house very much due to my mentalist issues. As always, they're not fantastic. Someone bought me a Amaryllis plant for Christmas - I've never seen or grown one before. Anyway, it's quite a magnificent flower when in bloom.
  21. Great pictures again Andy, thank you for sharing. The first one would grace any lovely collection or postcard for the area - fantastic shot. I hope you're all well my friend. Peter
  22. No idea who it is; it's a lovely track though. Peter
  23. Mm, I haven't seen that Simon. I'll check it out, Mad's is only in the first one isn't he - I'm guessing he's not in the third. Have you seen Bullhead too?
  24. Hi All I've a couple of films to recommend. Two of them have my favourite Danish actor in - he's in a few big movies these days. All three of these films are quite dark, violent, but in line with the bleak story lines. If you're into worldwide viewing, and like dark thrillers, then I think you'll like these. Mads Mikkelsons' debut film - "Pusher". There is also a "Pusher 2". Then over to Belgium for "Bullhead". I'd rate at least two of these in my top fifty films. Over to you guys; I'm on the lookout for recommendations too. Happy Easter everyone. Peter
  25. Thanks for this Mike; it's really interesting. Peter
