  1. Thanks for sharing these; they're really interesting. I will follow the thread with great interest. Peter
  2. There's been loads of northern soul compilations over the years. A couple of tracks just came up on my feed which reminded of the RCA Jumping at the Go Go album. Can we try and get a list of decent albums with DJ sponsored sleeve notes. You get the gist - I hope. I think this is a bit of a monster album - was it 1978/9? Jumping at the Go Go - Richard S Thanks Peter
  3. Nothing impressive, but this cheered my low mood today. It's pretty isn't it.
  4. Now the Delites is a proper record. Has been in my favourites since my formative all niter days - circa 1979. First heard played at Derby Assembly Rooms all niter I think.

Ha! I meant my comment wasn't helpful!

Not very helpful but I hope you get a decent, and above all, a fair price for your records. Peter
  7. His auction successes, I guess, perhaps answers your question.

Greg Perry - It Takes Heart For years I thought he was singing, "You can move a car", it wasn't until my senior years I finally heard correctly, it was "You can over come". Doh!
  9. I'm sorry you're having trouble. Life is full of people who, absolutely shamelessly, want to extort money, betray friendships, and cause misery. I'm having my life made a misery at the moment by two individuals. Not record related. I hope you manage to resolve your issue and righteousness prevails. Peter
  10. Hi Tony I hope you're ok. There's nothing wrong with those photographs - they brought back lots of memories. That's what photographs are all about; creating and evoking memories and experiences. Thanks for taking the time to post them up. Best wishes Peter
  11. Lovely garden mate. Peter
  12. Sounds like you've had a great time. I've done the waterfall walk at Ingleton - many years ago. I need to get on some punishing hikes. I'm putting weight on again. It's a bit of a problem as I can't take my Ace anywhere due to his reactiveness, oh well, I'm pleased I have him. Peter 🙂
  13. Well, you're not alone on not being able to enjoy a pint anymore.
  14. Not at all Mick. You enjoy yourself mate. Peter
  15. I concur, it's not real but does look nice. It looks too clean apart from anything else. It's a decent track by Brenda though. Peter
  16. Sounds good Mick. You can't be a million miles away from me. Blimey, I'd love a drink. Just to chill and to take the edge off things. I've not touched a drop since Friday 4th December 2021. That's some achievement for me - for anyone who likes a drink I guess. Enjoy your tipple and the rest of the day mate. Peter
  17. Even my vet mentioned this and said don't flea your dog every month routinely. If they're not infested with fleas don't do it - simple. I don't flea Ace any more. He's relatively free of fleas and stuff - well he doesn't scratch himself silly nor his he in any discomfort so I don't bother. I'm just one - but it's got to start somewhere. Peter
  18. How boring is this; not even a sound track! Ace is barking now though. Excuse the mainly scruffy yard - it's as much Ace's exercise/play space as it is a garden. fence.mp4
  19. Hi Stephen Any action? 🤣 I find that when people "cone off" out side of their house to try and stop other people parking I get very irritated. My friend Guy, he lives on a pseudo posh street, and some people cone their area off. When I go and visit Guy - not very often due to my mentalist issues, and find they've coned their area off, I simply chuck the cones in their garden and park there. Mm, I should have said they live next to Guy. Peter Peter Parking Meter (maid). 🤣 I've like all the posts but I ran out of likes. That's what Mikes been doing - monitoring the likes! (sorry Mike I couldn't resist). 🙂
  20. Well, it's the final summer Bank Holiday, always a marker for autumn. So what are you up to? Resting, out and about, at a venue, home chores? I don't go out save for necessity due to my mentalistic state. 🤣 So, I'm weighing it up - point up the little bit of garden wall which I'm going to paint bright yellow, or finish treating the wooden fence; it feels like there's so muh of it. There isn't really, I just lack motivation. I'll also be playing with Ace in the garden. Oh, I'll also be popping in here. So, how's about you? Whatever you're doing enjoy yourselves and stay safe. Peter
  21. Yes it must be. In one way I'm pleased I managed to kick the vinyl habit in 2018 - giving my last modest collection away for free sort of sealed it. I suspect lots of people are swapping and selling bits to get the new records they would like and to keep the collection fresh. Notwithstanding that, there are still some people about who have plenty of disposable income, and there are far more damaging things to buy with it than vinyl. 🙂 Peter 😉
  22. Now there's a record mate. First heard that at Wigan - one of Sir Dickies. Peter
  23. He looks a nice big boy. Peter 😉
  24. Hi Karen I hope you're ok? What a shame about the lack of bees and butterflies - all of that natural habitat and food. Good of the farmer to take part in the government scheme. I love horses; do you have any photographs. There are two ponies in the field at the side of my house. Peter
  25. I have grey squirrels that frequent the trees in next doors drive; I don't mind them. However, my Doberman rescue Ace, cannot abide them - they torment him, I'm sure for the sheer pleasure of it. They run along the fence but never put one foot in our garden - they know he'd have them good and proper. He's a right labour of love my Ace, poor boy has really bad arthritis in his back legs. He's only just turned nine as well. He's so reactive to other dogs and animals I can't take him anywhere. He only gets dark night walks, only when he is calm. He's a labour of love, but I love him to bits. Poor boy was so badly treated before I got him.
