  1. Love it. Dickie's old Top Cat cover up.
  2. Hi Simon That's a tricky one! Maybe Brothers Guiding Light for Sean (he'll soon correct me) and Steve - I want to say that I can remember but eeerrrrrrr..............! You'll be better equipped due to the recording prowess of your ghetto blaster! Hope you're well my friend. Peter
  3. I'm always doing it mate!
  4. Pardon?
  5. Apologies for adding piece meal - I just keep remembering records randomly. Phyllis Hyman - You Know How To Love Me
  6. Bobby Womack - So Many Sides of You (MCA) Although I think the first plays of that were from an acetate prior to the major release. Norman Connors - Take It To The Limit Peter
  7. Sing a Happy Song - The Escorts Giving It All To You - Cheryl Burdell Both of these must have been cheap and readily available as I had both when they were being hammered.
  8. Well soul sourcer Paddy is looking for one - he has it up in wants now, so someone could make him a happy fella with a nice copy at the right price. Peter
  9. Nice one Russell. Good to see what you actually look like! Sounds like you had a great time - I love the Greek Islands. That squids right up my street too. Peter
  10. No worries. Nowt to do with me really but your post came across as all the other interested parties weren't serious and hadn't made the same effort as you in inquiring about the record. It's the nature of buying and selling I'm afraid. Anyway, which one were you after? Post it up in the "wants" forum and you may get lucky. Peter
  11. I'm too thick to understand even the best attempts at humour Jonny - so way over my head! I get the thing about JM;s descriptions though - he's the master! P
  12. ? So all the other interested parties weren't serious buyers or dj's who all didn't take the time and effort to enquire about the record. Not being funny but you for real?
  13. You reckon the UK 7 on Johns site is modest at £200? Really?
  14. Ay up mate A tad too modern for you old timers! Hope you're well Martyn. Peter
  15. Hi Paul No problem. Here's the one I bought - it's a Spanish release in the picture cover. https://www.discogs.com/Alma-Faye-Dont-Fall-In-Love/release/3208106 Be interested to hear of any other interesting stuff that you found in your dads collection. All the best. Peter
  16. I'm pretty sure I bought one of these last year -I could be wrong. I'll have a look later. If I'm right it was a cheapy and I seem to recall that it was Dutch or Belgian 7. Peter
  17. Hi Sean Hope you're all well Sir. Peter
  18. Wow! They're amazing pictures Martyn. Award winning stuff imo. Petre
  19. It was definitely played at all niters as a new release in 1982.
  20. Yep was a massive record at Clifton Hall John. I reckon Sean Hampsey and Steve Mannion. Peter
  21. Now here's a funny thing. I've always thought that this had a dodgy line/lyric - even posted it up on here before and no one challenged me. But, I've just listened to the record again and it appears I've been wrong for the last 30 odd years! Doh! Have a listen at 2.09 - I thought he was singing "you can move a car" - but just realised he says "you can over come". LOL
  22. Never really a fan of 12's and that's the case with this one. P
  23. Yep, would have been played there too. A big dance floor hit for sure. I've got a battered 7 and still like the record. I think the 12's are more available than the 7's.
  24. Clifton Hall and Cleethorpes Winter Gardens and everywhere in between I think Ady.I think the 7 was played first but I could be wrong - it was a long time ago! Great dance track. Peter Edit - Probably worth mentioning that it was also booted on that SOS label.
