  1. You're just showing off now! Peter
  2. These type of records provided a little bit of "sweetness" against the backdrop of some of the nasty sounding stuff. James Coit being an example of the nasty side of things. Peter
  3. The Professionals seems like an odd record to be in with the rest of the tracks. It's a fantastic record, in very strange company. Never seen this one before. Peter
  4. Yes it's definitely a bootleg. It's also strange that we did a thread, or it came up as part of another thread, but no one ever really said who did the WVON. Lots of nods and winks, but no actual name. I still don't know who put it out. It was a damn good compilation; boot or not. I'm not sure that there will be that many that still exist - I could be wrong about all of that. Peter
  5. Thanks Mark I hope you're well mate. Peter
  6. Sorry Neil I just saw Soulman not the 58! Peter
  7. Hi Alan This was a good album - pretty much Richard Searling's playlist circa 1981. Always some debate about the legitimacy of it - I believe it's a boot. There was some debate on here years ago as to who did it. Came from Tomorden I think. Peter
  8. Cracking album Steve. I hope you're ok. Peter
  9. Thanks Steve It has more great tracks on there than I remembered. Absolute quality cd. Peter Can't you sleep either.
  10. Good morning all you film buffs. Crying out for a cracking film here; any recent recommendations? Crime thrillers, cops and robbers. International offerings are always interesting. I've been scrolling, channel hopping, starting/stopping watching, checking in on here. What does a man have to do to be able to sit and enjoy a very entertaining film? Thank you. Peter
  11. I've a few Keb Darge inspired cd's - one of them is an absolute stonker! But doh, I can't think of the title - it escapes me now. The one I have in mind has the Del Larks - Job Opening and Tony Fox's - Love, Let Love and Be Loved and loads of other top sides on. Very decent man that Mr Darge. Peter
  12. Washlively (strange name ) mentioned this one. A few of my favourite records on this one.
  13. Happy Birthday Andy One of Boston's finest - evergreen lad. Peter
  14. Thanks everyone so far - I've run out of likes and it's only 7.30am. I must be such a likeable chap! Quite a few there that I'm not aware of but can check out now. Peter
  15. I had Skip Mahoney - stonking dance record, lined up and you beat me to it. Aretha Sing One For Me - George Jackson. Peter
  16. Which one Simon? Peter
  17. Hello mate. It's been a while, I hope you're well. That, is a cracking picture of a beautiful bird. Peter
  18. Thanks for sharing these; they're really interesting. I will follow the thread with great interest. Peter
  19. There's been loads of northern soul compilations over the years. A couple of tracks just came up on my feed which reminded of the RCA Jumping at the Go Go album. Can we try and get a list of decent albums with DJ sponsored sleeve notes. You get the gist - I hope. I think this is a bit of a monster album - was it 1978/9? Jumping at the Go Go - Richard S Thanks Peter
  20. Nothing impressive, but this cheered my low mood today. It's pretty isn't it.
  21. Now the Delites is a proper record. Has been in my favourites since my formative all niter days - circa 1979. First heard played at Derby Assembly Rooms all niter I think.
  22. Ha! I meant my comment wasn't helpful!
  23. Not very helpful but I hope you get a decent, and above all, a fair price for your records. Peter
  24. His auction successes, I guess, perhaps answers your question.
