Turn out was a credit to the man, his character and his popularity, hundreds and hundreds of soul friends and Biker mates turned out. Never seen anything like it at the crem, pity the poor family who followed. Obviously there was a sadness overhanging, but you had to raise a smile for his memory and the way we all turned out to pay respect to one of our own. Good heart felt words by Jerry Lynch. Sincere best wishes to his close family. Dean (P)

Literally - Look At This Box (B&q)
Doh, thought I'd found something new on the market, not noticed them before. Must be a bit behind around mansfield, they were shelved between the cat-gut and horse shoes!

Literally - Look At This Box (B&q)
Might be in wrong section but couldn't resist the silly pun. Was in my local B&Q tonight. Years have programmed my brain to be on the lookout for something to hold 7", or a couple of 7"s alongside each other. Saw this box on the shelve. It would be no good at all for travelling but thought it may be ok for home storage. Not that well built, crappy little ribbon hinge on lid, metal hinges joining lid to box are cheap, handles won't be much use when full, but for all that thought it was quite neat for under £10. Just thought it worth a public service to give it a shout out on here.

Orig Format, Linda & The Funky Boys?
thanks for all info to satisfy an idle curiosity. The Spark release (76) would've been before the Linda Fields and the Funky Boys french RCA LP release (77). I'd always had an image of Spark cashing in on the media driven popularity of Northern at the time that may not be justified in this case. I don't recall and don't think I ever knew about the Casino spot. I was around at the time but probably only occasionally for '76 '77. Don't remember even seeing any ads for it though. That one (sounds like thankfully) passed me by completely. Sounding like it was played on Spark pre release most likely as mentioned, unless it was a turd as Pikey suggests. Probably best left as a memory but will continue to sing in my head whenever I run up or down stairs! Thanks, Dean

Steve L text me earlier to let me know. Remember Dean G from his first trips to Wigan with Mark Hopes, Jerry Lynch, and a few others, and some of your bus trips too Phil if I remember correctly. Always had a good word and a smile when we bumped into each other, will remember him very fondly indeed. Dean (Penford)

Orig Format, Linda & The Funky Boys?
One of those guilty pleasure records as far as I'm concerned, I know I shouldn't like it but can't help it. It's the tune I find myself singing along to in my head without any encouragement other than running up or down a set of stairs at the time. Often leads me to condiser in what fomat was this played prior to its release on Spark. In my memory, picked up lots of plays then dropped from sets immediately upon the spark release. Seem to recall it only being in sets for a few months, but memory may deceive. Was it only available / played as an LP track from: Linda Fields and The Funky Boys - Stop (When You Do What You Do), which I beleive was a French RCA Victor release. Any other release? Just curious. Dean Later addition - see it was the flip to various '83 Euro releases of Shame, Shame, Shame on RCA, much later than the Spark 1976 release.

Barbara Mcnair - Album Only Tracks?
The LP 'The Real Barbara McNair' has been discussed several times, forgive if this has been covered previously. I'm always impressed by the depth of knowledge of some on here, and you could fill a library with what I don't know. This may be common knowledge, but time after time on here common knowledge turns out to be common presumption. Is 'Forget You Ever Met Me' album only, and is The Real Barbara McNair the only album this is on, or are there other world-wide Motown formats, or other compilation labels?

Christopher Cerf - Sweet Sweet Music Amy 45
Played a couple of times at The Attic as I thought it could now come under forgotten/underplayed tag. If I'm honest I'm not quite sure about it. I enjoy the memory of it many years ago but am not convinced by it now, although as and when the mood takes me that can vary.

Email For Us Dealer R.resmini?
Thanks, get the picture and agree with the sentiment, but........ I prefer to be treated how I treat others, not to use others crap attitudes to guide my own. If he/she is a rubbish dealer (as the feedback link would indicate, quite damning), I'm more concerned for the person who hasn't got the record who may not get a refund. Be interesting to see his/her attitude and language when someone tries to do a good turn. This may all have been different if it was a record I wanted! Thanks for the info Pete and boba.

Email For Us Dealer R.resmini?
I'm kinda forgetful these days but I've received a record (book value £100 but only VG) that I'm sure I've not ordered or paid for from R. RESMINI out of PHILA PA. Obviously must have bought from this seller before for them to have my address but I can't locate it. Anybody have a contact lead to let them know? Thanks, Dean.
