I've a great historical knack of buying and keeping records that are worth about the same now as what i paid back in the day, not buying those that rocketed, or even worse, selling the ones that rocketed back in the day before they rocketed. It's a good job I don't do this as a job.

Also (you can tell I'm not doing much work!) saw this fetched £195 on JM auction last night. I'd have thought an ok price for such a clean one. One of those records from the past that i probabaly like more now. Sorry didn't realise pic was going to come out so small, it's the Victors - Hurt.

I always thought this so superior to spiral staicase (not that that sets the bar very high) and have enjoyed spinning a few times. This is apic from the web, just wanted to contribute and not been around much recently. I'm sure my prom is one side blue / one side orange. I'll try and post a pic of that tonight if I get time, just out of interest.

News: Top Tips For 2011
Are you tryin' to say you have 2 friends!!!!!! Can I slot another in Sean. Not my suggestion originally - JM's auction had a UK demo of Four Tops - Shake Me Wake Me, in the comments he mentioned how good the flip was and ready for picking up on. I know this a bit sheep-like of me, but heh-ho, I dug out a Us Motown Issue (must be bargain cheap still) and the flip is bloody great, but I'd forgotten about it. Genuinely could pick up plays this year. Four Tops - Just As Long As You Need Me https://www.soul-sour...as-you-need-me/

Cameo - Parkway
Another good double sider oldie. Jimmy Jones - Don't You Just Know It b/w Dynamite. Lost in memory these days but both sides have been played out.
-
Cameo - Parkway
Cheap but beautiful Eddie Holman - Stay Mine By the way, saw Eddie's My Name above. Is this typically a tune that's easy to locate but hard to get a clean copy? I know mine's grubby, don't recall seeing too many promo's either.

Cameo - Parkway
See the promo posted above. Another early sound, imagine this would be a youth club tune for many of a similar age to me (27)

Cameo - Parkway
Early 2 side favourite of mine. Had the promo for donkey's years, must have been one of the first records I ever bought. Cu Ma La Be-Stay remains a favourite to this day.

Today's People - Sos
Was this a boot or a case of large amounts coming to light. Remember about the same time of East Coast Connection - Summer in the Parks. Both played out extensively and then available for £1.

M-G-M
But . . . and finally (quarter to 4, must get out Christmas shopping), probabaly my personal favourite:
-
M-G-M
Used to play a couple of Times at The Attic. Karl H gave it a spin at the last Rugby:

M-G-M
2 more modern funky sounds, still cheap I think: T.U.M.E and Jerry Weaver

Vinyl-Styrene
Intersting point Chalky. I think in the past I've been guilty of linking a "noisy" track with styrene and making the assumption that it's styrene because of background noise. Never really thought about the use of re-grind mix in some cheaper vinyl pressings. Good info.

Jerry Ganey - You Don't Love Me - This should be heard much more often, great dancer. John Manship has the issue finishing tomorrow.

Willie Hutch Issue On Ebay
Anyone clear on the difference East/West Coast? The popsike top 3 issues referred above have some label difference to the ebay listing. Time on left on popsike, right on ebay, 45 D - 4012 as opposed to D-4012.
