  1. Expert enough Steve, always thought small writing was a legitimate '73 re-issue, had this since school I think!? But then found that legit re-issue should have Nashville stamp and this hasn't. Booted re-issue?
  2. Hi Barry, flip of Take Me to Paradise isn't it. Not scarce (doesn't warrant book/list price of £60 - £100 IMO), but will add it is one of those curious records that most copies are Vg or less. There are plenty around but hard to locate in Ex or better. Gave one to Kev H many moons ago (can't recall if it was issue or demo) but think that was VG at best. Hope all's well, Dean
  3. Of it's time but fond memories (with Nashville matrix): Sounding dated but was Northern once-upon-a-time Not sure about this! Looks like legit 1973 re-press but no Nashville matrix that I can see? Were these issues booted?
  4. I'm that mate. Held off mentioning for a while as I didn't want to affect WANT. When Steve L got his I started searching, In about 3-4 years on ebay didn't see one. Mark Bicknell had one for sale at about £100 (about 3 years ago) if memeory serves well. Was regretting not buying that one. Saw one on a lsit at £50 (think it was Anglo American but not sure) phoned and was told could have sold 10 times over. I'm not sure I think it was 40 - 50 on Chris Andertons which was a bargain. If you want one I'd make Franc an offer, don't see many.
  5. Only posting as a label curiosity . . . unless of course you want it, in which case it's an exclusive hard to find dance floor monster, just right for today's scene
  6. Bit of a marmite record, at the moment I like it but if I heard it out twice I'd soon go off it!
  7. SteveL - if we ever do that oldies dance spot, I'll have this. From where it began for me:
  8. This must be the second most obvious, there was a time when you wouldn't be able to go to a nighter without hearing this. Not dug it out for ages, forgot is was such a battered copy:
  9. Tend to consider this a guilty pleasure these days . . . but still a great pleasure, always loved it.
  10. Blidworth miners welfare youth club! About 1973? DJ had a Reparata & the Delrons - Panic. coooool. Not sure I would call my effort dancing though. There was a lot of bedroom practice after that to reach the dizzy heights of smooth elegance i now demonstrate
  11. I've got a spare you can have for £3 + £1.50 (presuming you're uk) postage but it's VG at best. Plays well but some label wear, no writing or stickers. Multiple minor scuffs on both sides. Price represents condition. You can pick em up on ebay regularly, got my own black stock and demo but love em to bits. Should get a VG++ for $10- $15 if you're patient.
  12. I'm sure it's been topiced on here lots, but beware you're not confusing with the flip on the repress, labelled Think Twice but plays a great previously unreleased Hey Girl (It's A Dream I've Always Had).
  13. Pulled this out to play at home as a result of this thread . . . glad I did.
  14. 70s oldie that was a regular feature at many nights but not heard out for a long time. I still like this.
  15. A room full of sound record, played at The Attic a few times, both good sides but No Matter What You Do is a full-on 60s dancer.
  16. Going off my own topic here BUT I'll be keeping an eye for the double sided Roadrunner (Roger's post). Been picking up different euro issues, liking the collector thought have having every issue, wonder how many worldwide.
  17. Not sure if this is a curiosity or common. Just picked up for collection a S35025 issue that is same on both sides, Velvelettes -These Things Will Keep Me Loving You. I have an issue with Since You've Been Loving Me as flip. This same-both-sides issue is EXACTLY the same label face as the standard issue A side, same matrix, stamped, label design. There are no prom markings, nothing to differentiate it from standard issue apart from same label and same track both sides. The new aquisition has same label stamp and scratch number both sides, the standard issue has different stamp and scratch number on either side. I've got the swirl design DJ copy, same label and song both sides, that has a different stamp. Seems to me to be a curiosity. Why a single song issue with no promo marks? Are these common?
  18. This is from mine, but again just for curiosity. Not Northern, More '60s white freakbeat, sounds very English. If any label collector needs/wants it let me know it's in my scrap pile but is actually quite pleasing to play (if you're into freakbeat that is!)
  19. Sorry, no info about alt side boba but thought this was interesting: 746 Listed here ( https://www.soulfulkindamusic.net/uptown.htm ) as Gwen Owen but label is Gwynn. Not anyhting to do with Gwen Owens. Scan from internet by the way, not mine, just posting for curiosity:
  20. Much more common but wouldn't mind hearing this out loud again . . . .
  21. Hard call which side to prefer, Need Your Love Probabaly just shades it for me.
  22. I'll just miss you Kev . . .I'm there 19/20 th
