  1. Playing some cheaper big vocal ballads at home tonight and remembered this thread: Bobby Bloom - We're all Going Home Checkmates Ltd - Walk in Sunlight Jimmy Radcliffe - Lucky Old Sun
  2. Always thought Dean Parrish planting seeds after finding a patch of earth whilst there's a storm going on was a bit silly . . . . . . . . butI'll dance to it!
  3. Mentioned before but as it fits the thread. Valances in Mansfield had a record section at the back ( be about 1977) had the usual boots pinned to the wall for that period in a town consumed with NS. Had white Sassy demos of Frank Beverly on the wall for £2, bought as a boot turned out real. There must be several in Mansfield lofts.
  4. Where can I get a tatoo of this? Must be a good artist, I wouldn't want to end up looking silly.
  5. Overdue Mike, but guess you had to wait until the right time. Wanting you, everyday I am wanting you . .. . can't wait for my nonNS friends to join in their opinions about OVO. Bring it on.
  6. ...... well I blame Steve L for all this, he started the thread.
  7. The power of big DJ spins! Just watched one go through eBay for 283 dollars tonight
  8. I've just bought a Kim Tolliver - I caught you, whilst it was a very attractive red issue (GAR), I really bought it for the GAR sleeve, would have happily just paid for the sleeve, although got both for $10.50. I'm obsessive and sort of silly, but I love it.
  9. I think it was from a Nick Allen, Hard Way to Go, that I thought was a bargain but (my fault) missed the detail regarding post and customs. Customs charges were paid in advance. Purchased from North Carolina, International Priority shipping 16 dollars. Not having a go at seller just first time come across a note like this inside a package!
  10. Not a particularly important one but thought this had interesting potential. How long until security officials are sat with Manships Guide? This notice was a new one on me.
  11. The above post may not present right as am working from my phone . There was an issue on that appeared ok for £850? Didn't think too bad given current prices
  12. Don't think this sold on eBay tonight https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/121280261866?index=8&nav=WATCHING&nid=83639207178
  13. £200 for at least VG+ of Victors Hurt, Phillips issue or demo, anyone?
  14. Jimmy Seals, Yesterday of our Love
  15. Great character now left us. Sort of guy who wouldn't see him for a while then he's turn up again and it would be just like he was always there. Saw him do a couple spots over the last few years, had great understanding and taste. Funeral arrangements anyone?
  16. Pm'd eatoboss, checked issue bit disappointing , labels good clean VG+ buy vinyl got several marks that don't look pretty. Plays clear though.
  17. I think I have an issue and demo, don't need both. Will check after work. Do you have a preferred want regarding issue / demo? Dean
  18. Four I recall from the days my legs moved to any beat 2 been mentioned, Gems and The Jewels, but also Isley Brothers - Tell me it's just a rumour and Halos Do I .
  19. Can't accurately recall condition, I'm remembering strong VG+ but would have to check. Not currently in sales box but if you want to make an offer feel free (perhaps after I've confirmed condition?) Dean
  20. Used to include Johnny Copeland One More time in ealry door playlists at the Attic nights, very strong record still enjoying home spins, BUT didn't know The Jannie Williams, will have to look out for one of those, good post, thanks.
  21. When you're in that space it feels like the right thing to do. It's also god for making me feel stupidly superior when others get it 'wrong'. How ever much important stuff I can't for the life of me remember, for some reason I don't need reminding or to think where to clap!
  22. I wonder if LA management are aware if the Trandy debacle? Would that offer insight into the sorry affair? Might turn up with my ticket saying I thought it was re-arranged.
