Did I dream a Twans on auction? Have I slept a week?
-
Thought I'd resurrect this rather than start a new thread. Are these Italian copies reissues? (disco depositato / made in Italy / tutti i diritti riservato) I was thinking yes, but stamped matrix MLCS 8469 22-2-73. Could the 22-2-73 be a stamped press date 22 Feb 1973? Fanciful I know but got me thinking (should have posted tomorrow, 46th anniversary!!) Gatefold sleeve, but thin card and glossy? Any info, thanks, Dean.

I'll try to get a sound clip posted , although first attempt said File too big. Few pops/crackles on run in, minor audible background crackle in parts but you'd have to listen for it. No jumps or skips . If all else fails can call your phone and play it down phone tomorrow evening.

I've got a smash promo I was going to put up in sales a couple of weeks ago, then put it back in my box for sentimental reasons. Not confident on VG+ will check later if you're interested. Dean

Shorty Long - Devil With A Blue Dress / Wind It Up DEMO
Dean replied to lincsmod1970's topic in Record Wants
Sorry for delay, just seen. Will consider and get back, although I tend to favour if I'm offering an item for sale I'll put a price on it, if I post a want I'll offer a price. -
Do an occasional spot for Steve Studge (not on here), with Banner (on here), in a Mansfield Sunday afternoon bar, that odd mix of interested and interesting scene people, local commercial / Motown enthusiasts, and not a clue how 'much is the beer' types. Many of the above have been experienced: Play some Motown (look at the label going round f*** wit); Have you got any Billy Joel (nope); Can you play something I like (what do you like) I don't know what it's called. But my favourite: Can I sing with you? (What???) Can I sing with you? (You don't really understand this DJ thing do you?) I didn't realise I had such a good mic voice!!!!

Curious regarding value. I'm aware this is hardly a credible sound these days, just a memory of Nottingham Palais Dayers. JM 7th Edition guide has price at £10, but ....... No US issue on Popsike and only 3 demo's $27 - $54. Any value as a collectable??
-
Thanks for response, don't think I want it that much!!! Always thought it more elusive than initial price guides gave it.

Bit of an odd one, looking for an original not the 70s boot. Am I right in thinking orig is styrene and boot is vinyl? I don't think there's much to tell between them apart from principles! Its the instrumental I'm after so prefer that to be the clean side if that becomes an issue? I usually like to offer a price but have no idea on this? Thanks, Dean
