hi just flipped over "DO THIS FOR ME"-EMOTIONS on Vardan (the other, and IMHO better version of THE LOVERS ON Phillips). Other side is "LOVE OF A GIRL" ,,,AND ITS BLOWN ME AWAY!!. Midtempo heaven,has this been played, is it well known?. Both sides are produced by Arthur Wright,and are what you expect..quality. Definatley gonna give "love of a girl" a play soon ,its just got the edge on " do this for me".

Hi Sean ,talking of Soul Police, they're usually in plain clothes so as to mingle in.If a dj gets the price/label/writer/era wrong ,they are the ones who look like there's something nasty on their top lip,while the rest of us either haven't heard/don't care/laugh it off with said dj.Hope this helps.

Always thought the red one was the 60's hard version, and the blue one,which was played at the MECCA,is the 70's reworking of the 60's red 'un.So both are originals??

your'e right its not the next big thing.First purchased this as a new release from a shop in Mansfield when Phil Kingswood worked there.Quality tune ,so different at the time to most i was buying. I'm guessing it's one of those tracks that's sat at the back of many boxes.Never quite reached "dancefloor" status(?),but just right for "now" IMO. Sold my copy to Garry Churm for peanuts a long time ago,as he keeps reminding me.KEV.

heard about Kenny Burrell chaining his box to a table ,so not silly at all.Leaving £1000's of records unattended is asking for trouble,100 box is the safe option,that and keeping the box with you.

as the man says,the "other" side's not bad either.the boot has a long run out ,the gap tween end of toon and label.

love the messy-ness of the UPTOWNERS and C-QUENTS,but my copy of C-quents is on Essica not Captown. Was UPTOWNERS issued on both labels???
