Exactly Phil. Once a c/u is played ,it raises its profile,if a well known dj plays it. All the hounds are out to find it,nothing wrong with that. Interesting that you say "needs to be worth covering". That is indeed a big debate.
Hard to actually do something for the artist though unless you mean attending live events. My way of saying thanks is by keeping the records, enjoying playing them, and hopefully keeping their memory alive. Most people who collect become greedy at some stage and would trample over folks at times to get a certain want.
There are some good people around who do great things for the artists who are still with us,and their memories.
Sorry off topic.

Hi Gene, any thoughts on one with "alone with no love" etched lightly in run out ,plus the flip has what looks like "tc" etched in runout.? Basically your option b) with the above..?
Kev.
At the last all dayer at Diff Strokes,Steve played a tune, there we are racking our brains,,,," i used to have this " etc etc.....turns out its the "other version" of Leon Collins on Elf......not the green one.......that's what its all about......
I bought a shagged yellow copy, just because i hadn't got the yellow one. .Cant play it out its so bad.Have i got a problem.? .Got the blue one as well ,must check the matrix again.
Thats pretty much why i asked for it to be clarified earlier on the thread. It was stated, address on label was the original, with no mention of other variations.
Glad thats cleared up.
