i never come on AOY thread Steve .When i was living in a certain area of Mansfield during my "dark" period,Derek Banner was a gas repair man for British Gas.Got the shock of me life when i answered the door to him,so much so daren't speak to him.Mr M's!!! Saw Pags (Mick Padley) locally on NY'sE,its the only time i see him now. Anyone seen Steve "Platt" Newton lately?.Big pal of Pags back in the day.

hi James,you're missing the point. Butch did not break Lee Fields .People think he did cos they didn't know it before that. Butch will be the first to admit he revitalised it cos it was right for the scene NOW. Which just goes to prove how far ahead of the game Levine,Searling,Curtis,JM,and may others were, back in the day.

When i played it a couple of years back it was " used to be played back in the day.40 quid tops". Quite right ,old Mecca tune.Everybody's got one. Butch gets a hold of it and whoosh...........but £757?.You couldn't make it up. Double sider tho'.....£378.50 each. .

Hi Steve,not far from Albufeira,about 5 miles in fact.Was more interested in record hunting really than going to a nite (the missus thinks we're "away" on holiday ). Might check it out tho'. Will i need my bags, vest and all nighter bag?.What's their TALC policy? . Anyway,looks like Portugal may get thru to the EURO Final,so will be watching that on the 29th.

i'm thinking of putting everything on an old 8 track and playing it thru some old Orange speakers with the treble turned up. Coupled with a Norman Collier mike.
