  1. Hi chaps, ball park figure please for C + Imaginations on Blue Rock. Thanks....Kev.
  2. Wouldn't this side be classed as Boogaloo?.Right place ,right venue...
  3. That's what i'm thinking George.Either the best job in the world....or the most tedious. . Anyone got a metal scribe used on a rariety?.A new depth to collecting? Kev.(officially the most anorak thread).
  4. ,peace brother.
  5. Its about who goes where, who dj's where, who goes somewhere but offends folks unintentionally by not going somewhere else, who dj's somewhere that clashes with somewhere and is seen as a snub, someone who flyers a venue that clashes with another, someone who spreads the word that a venue is cancelled,or a dj won't be turning up. Don't get me started on the music.
  6. Danced me nuts off to these two at Rugby Paul during your spot.Hope to do so again....in the UK.!!!! Kev.(bit slow off the mark..)
  7. I was wondering about matrix numbers.I think i understand the process of the stamped number in the run out,but unsure about "scratched in " numbers. These weren't done manually were they..? Or is the term we use incorrect?.(i've read about certain producer/engineers doing this, how?). How were matrix numbers that are "scratched out" , re-"scratched" in again.? Sorry if this has been covered before, seem to remember a YouTube on this subject. Kev.
  8. True Chalky. But when it was a cheapie i dare say it hardly ever saw turntable action. It was just known. The fickle world of NS.
  9. Lack of imagination?.Not everyone knows every record Chalky. Some might not have heard this at all,but fits the bill for them. Records selling for silly money is nothing new.A dealer will say he's ahead of the game,if he's got a chance of making a profit.Nothing wrong with that.Making money out of "in vogue" ,and "not so rare" records is short lived though. Then the prices settle,as it will with Freddie Scott. Maybe not knowing a record is the reason to go to Craig Moerers and source one.Thats the reason they "didnt buy them when you had trouble giving them away".
  10. The police had it covered..Maybe having all the 16 - 25 year old nutters in one place suited them. . Backhanders? From the dealers? Nowadays the Police are all ex Wigan / NS boys ,or of the same age group. So why would they spoil their mates fun?
  11. Can you hear that Dean?.The sound of me dropping a small boll*ck .....again.

  14. ,cant get a listen to it,and by the comments not missing much. Like his comment on "Speeding up and slowing down" and "Belgian dj's have been doing this way for 25 years" .
  15. Interesting article.Am i right in thinking some record stores aren't part of this survey, due to being "second hand stores". RE: the "new vinyl store opening" (but on a local basis), Rob Smith's at Nottingham is earmarked for refurbishment by the landlord, hopefully, with a focus on the area to being "Student friendly". Could mean a new direction for Rob.Retro 70's ,disco and maybe 60's,etc to the student population,if he can get the refit...and organised. Viva Vinyl.!!!
