  1. Hi there.Due to unforseen circumstances, its looking hightly unlikely i can get to Womack at Blackburn on the 25th June. I have 2 tickets (standing).Cost £70 inc booking fees etc. Will accept £40. Also i have a hotel booked,2 miles from the King George Hall.Cost £59.Will accept £30. That's £70 in total.Pm me if interested, for full details. Thanks.....Kev. SOLD THANKS..!!!
  2. ,,,slightly off topic but..if a dj does play a set WITH imagination lets hope its to the right crowd, otherwise he gets the heave oh and bad press!!!. As for copying playlists, all the tunes are out there for all to buy. There is such a thing as "in vogue / popular" etc. Some of these tunes are already in boxes and collections.Every playlist, apart from the top guys,is a "cast off" of others playlists. Play what you love - recipe for disaster if the promoter wants a full dancefloor...

  14. Its played for me Chalky.A bit weak for me,but has a certain appeal.
  15. A very relaxed attitude. Was it a Red tartan flask with white lid (highly sort after),or one of those new fangled stainless steel flasks? Biscuits do have a certain appeal with the younger kids.
  16. Did he? How?
  17. Just spoke to the guy in question. He DID have a Bunky NC,purchased from Soul Bowl.Kept for years but sold a few years back. Until i spoke to him,he was unaware of the JM auction. He estimates 3-5k.

  19. Sorry but unless i've just woken from a bad dream,i know someone who's got the record on Bunky,if its what i think John's implying. Before the offers come in for it - no,he doesn't sell,no he doesn't go anywhere now."Armchair" collector for 40 years. I will check of course and correct my post if i'm wrong.

  21. Think John's had an Inspirations himself for a short while?.How about a Jimmy Burns acetate?
  22. Betty Boo - Say it isn't so.
  23. One major factor is that since the late 60's,disposable income has risen,For instance,as we've gotten older, mortgages get paid up.Throw in the odd redundancy payment, pensions being called in,...= disposable income...for more "collectors". Factor all that in and you've got price rises in records.I would hazard a guess that most collector/dj's in their 30's haven't reached that point yet.So most trophy/high end tunes will be out of their reach. Unless the old guys sell cheap. And soon.
  24. Hi Kev.This might be a tough one cos of the Dance Girl side... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_fF4yxS71Y
