It not pillorying one and not the other.If you know your venues/events as i'm sure you do,and the dj's who are guesting,you'll know the possiblities of ovo/cd/mp3. CC plays cd's shock horror? No.Its what he does now.And as far as i know doesn't dress it up any other way...The double standards comes in when the punters are duped into thinking they are getting ovo.

So putting in the hard yards at the dawn of the scene (Torch),making real history at the Mecca,(wether you like the tunes or not),moving himself out of NS, into whatever you'd like to pigeon hole his preferred genre is,means nothing?. Maybe if he played cd's every weekend at the big bustling venues,while pretending to fly the NS flag we'd have a real bone of contention. Has he made himself a laughing stock,like some? Respect.

As you are well aware Andy,it matters who the dj is,what type of venue/event.etc.If it was CC, he could play it off a piano with sheet music,backed by the Brighouse and Rastrick for me.

It was a joke Andy.Lets me make this point though without joking.The bloke's not trying to preach,convert or crash the NS scene as it is now. An overiding image of him ,feet up on the decks,spinning Ann Sexton will stay with me.Can't take it away.

There lies the rub..His tunes.Colin championed a lot of the Mecca stuff,if not discovered them.If he chooses to play His tunes from cd thats up to him. Went to a "modern" do with CC on locally.Still played a blinder off 12"ers cd's.Still knew how to mix a set. Saying all that ,he's one of very few who i can forgive for not playing OVO. How you doing Bearsy?
