  6. Only problem is that you can only list the first couple, which in itself may be misleading as to the others for sale.It only takes a minute,or two, to look at a list.
  7. Could have been worse, once the steam had cleared it may have been a chip shop.
  8. God,some people.!!!

  10. Well you wouldn't want to dj at a venue you'd criticised anyway.
  11. Glass half full or half empty? Simsy - "numbers down, but dj's gave good account of themselves".Been to a few nights like this.Sometimes its the truth and not always a crap night. Depends how many folks you need around you to have a good time.
  12. Sorry you're offended by vinyl collectors Mick.Or "trainspotters".Or the soul "clique". Everyones truth about a venue is their perception. In general i agree with what your'e saying though.
  13. Hi,after a EX copy of Johnnie Mae Matthews - "My destination" - Northern. Recently got one ,but did swaps etc for other tunes, and was assured this was in clean condition and ok to play out.As the lighting in the venue was, well,it was very dark, and i'm a nice chap ,i took it on trust. The label had ringwear, but the vinyl was supposed to be OK. Its shagged and is probably the worst condition record i've got in my collection. But me bitter - no. It'll be going on a wall montage soon. So,if you have the above in EX condition or above please pm me.Thanks.
  14. Sorry Cunnie, thougth that was a lookback in the wrong section.
  15. Hi Elvis, when you've cracked the Northern code, try the Crossover genre.
  16. Think this has been done before, but my guess is 6 original copies.Dobber, there's an archived thread hidden away on here somewhere, with if i remember correctly, some input from Joey Jefferson on how the Pink came about. The Pink Breakthrough came via the Mecca/Clee influence, and as you said, most looked on them as boots.
  17. There are Treetop's in the US,mainly in the Dakota and Oregon states.Could be of American Indian origin, but why use that name, unless there's a family connection.? There's also one Robert Copney who lived in NY '1945 - 2005.

  24. Wigan '74 - my first nighter,Yvonne Baker,Ann Perry,Jeanette Williams,Tempo's...the tunes went on an on....musn't forget Jnr Walker live at Wigan as well... After a break from soul,80-90,being took to the 100 club.First nighter in all that time, only knew about 10% of the tunes, but what a night. Came away thinking,"i'm getting back into this",and also something that i've said to myself every weekend since - "You got a lot to learn youth"....
