Have to agree with you there Div...... Andy Dennison has got to be right at the top there, his sets never fail to amaze me, he always comes up with that big oomph of something special, great imaginative sets. All these guys are the bees knees as far as originality go, complimented with rare favourites , lesser heard, and newer rare sounds. THE CREAM OF THE CROP. Malcolm is also From Dundee. Phyllis

Very nice to see something like this starting up in your area. We also have a nice Scottish retirement home, for unwanted, overplayed and unloved dusty vinyl. This lovely retirement home is also free of charge and our retirees have a lovely stress free life with us, no more spinning for them, just a nice relaxing mellow, loving atmosphere surrounded by beautiful scenery and lots of good old fresh air(ing). So for all retired/unwanted vinyl especially our dear beloved ones across the border, why not spend the Autumn of your years at: "PHILLY'S HEILAN HAME"......... All welcome, PM for more details

" Just finished watching this..... what a brilliant film, also loved the bit with the Ruffin brothers singing "Shout" and and when David sings to the females in the audience..... goosebumped all over (God I wish I could back in time) Cried buckets at the end. 10/10 Phyllis

Story is self explanatory..... one person/DJ? was prepared to put up with knowing that his records were goin missing all for the sake of a DJin spot. Now if that isn't lowering yourself, and leaving your self respect and dignity behind, then I don't know what is !!!! So I think the story represented the situation and was therfore valid to the point. It was put up as an example.

Your totally missing the point, its not about naming people or venues ...... it is about how low you would go, and leaving your dignity and self respect at home to appease your ego. Simple.

I would just like to point out that this is not someone who I personally know and I have not attended the venue in question, it was something that was mentioned in conversation between friends and I wondered what others (DJs in particular) points of view were on this.

DJ does not ask for spot, he is always approached, these certain promoters are apparently friends, who are light fingered with his record box....so I have heard, dont really know the person, know of him etc Said DJ still goes back knowing full well what goes on, why !!!!! So same question does dignity stay at home and ego take over no matter the cost ?
