  1. I have 2 of these packs (both identical)- the vast majority of the records included are unplayed - a few will be lightly scuffed but nothing worse than VG+. One or two may have the odd sticker or mark or the odd bit of writing on. Many will have drill holes. All are USA originals. The Marvin Gaye Tamla 45s are all on original globes where appropriate (most of these are listed for £10 - £25 each elsewhere). Great collection builder with a lot of very solid 60's tunes (and a few 70s). Some are in original sleeves, some are not. Price is £100 per pack plus £5 P&P (UK). Europe P&P £10. The Drifters - Chains of Love (Atlantic 2285) awesome big city soul The Temprees- At last (we produce) James Duncan - Everybody needs somebody to love/I'll be gone (King) Ray Charles - I chose to sing the blues (ABC) The Masqueraders - A family (La Beat) Wind - Groovin with Mr Blow (Life) Dan Brantley - Please accept my love/Can't take no more (Sims) The Drifters- At the club (Atlantic) Chick Carbo - Two tables away (Instant) Raymond Lewis - Ruthless lover (Instant) Wayman Dixon - You put love on my mind/It's no fun (Instant) (listed for £40 on JM - great new orleans R& Marvin Gaye - Take this heart of mine (Tamla) Marvin Gaye - Pretty little baby (Tamla) Marvin Gaye - One more heartache/When I had your love (Tamla) (ace doublesider) Toni and the Hearts - Stay in school (Path) Big Boy Myles - She's so fine (V Tone) (listed on JM for £75) Esquires - You got the power (Bunky's Pick Wand 1193) Marvin Gaye - Change what you can (Tamla) (fantastic lesser known dancer - £25 on JM) Fantastic Four - You gave me something (and everything's alright) (Ric Tic) Fantastic Four - As long as the feeling is there (Ric Tic) Marvin Gaye - Walk on the wild side/Baby don't you do it (Tamla) The Dells - Oh what a day (cadet) If they don't sell today I'll be sticking them on ebay (as an auction item). cheers Martin

  12. I've got a copy of Billy Kennedy on Thelma and it looks absolutely battered to death - by record collector standards I'd have to probably call it G- or POOR - but it really is fine for DJing because it sounds fine though big speakers (though it also sounds fine through little ones as well!) - I think there are two issues - records that SOUND knackered (whether they look knackered or not) and records that look knackered but defy modern science by playing well despite their appearance... I agree with some of the comments though, I hate to hear people playing crackly records at a do unless mega rare - I've never had a problem buying lesser (visual) condition records for home or deck use - but only as long as they SOUND great (irrespective of how they look) - I think the 'fine for DJing' is properly used to describe something that sounds a lot better than it looks - not something that you can probably "get away with" at a do... but is generally shagged - that's how I apply it anyway
  13. I've got Carl's old copy of the Sandpipers on Giant (bought back when it was still relatively hard to find ) - has his name carved in the run out - don't recall that being pointed out when I bought it .... but given that it's only VG/VG+ish (but plays mint), it sort of adds character
