I actually got a reply:- "What Is Escrow? I don't think we have it here in Australia. I mainly would use Western Union or bank deposit. They are the best here. Thanks." After re reading the auction his preferred payment is "Overseas Buyers: Bank Deposit / Western Union Transfer / Cash in Registered Envelope." That probably says it all.

A new E-bay member and zero feedback, I'd be suspicious. I'll e-mail him asking if he would use an escrow service. I'll post up the reply, if I get one.

If its down to attendance only then I have to strongly disagrree. Music policy will shape how popular a venue is plus ease of access. Stoke All nighters as a nostalgia trip are successful, 1500 plus attend, including myself. However if I want to hear semi knowns / underplayed I'll travel to Aylesbury or Wellingborough. (Both are relatively local for me) Both venues are undervalued IMO and worthy of more recognition. The best 2 days I had recently were at the Northampton weekender. The live acts were superb but attendance was not the over riding factor. If I'm seeing this through rose coloured glasses perhaps Jo, Paddy or any other DJ could put me right? Bottom line I'll try and support anyone who has the balls to organise a function. Some venues will die but there will always be that hidden gem- just like the music!

No argument from me Godz. History will be the judge. I guess it's the same old story, and we will all disagree on that. From a personal perspective, empasis personal, at that time we all wanted the sounds and were not really fussed how we got them. Older and wiser now. That said of all the 6 titles you mentioned I still play 4 constantly on tape .
