Except if you were to place an ad in a paper it would be for a fixed fee, eg selling a car. No sliding scale and then further charges on top if / when you sell the item. Perhaps it's me but I think most people would consider a fixed price fairer, even if based on the final sale value. eg £1-£99 = cost X, £100-£499=cost Y, £500 - £999 etc Also imo

Agree with what has been said already. Option 2 is a no brainer -at £35 you can do a weekender for that. Not even sure what you are trying to promote. Is it a Motown tribute band with a Motown theme all night, a soul night, northern night or just MOR? A few more details so we can make an informed judgement would be useful. I don't mean this to be a critical reply but most Soul fans need to know what the night involves before parting with the cash.

You may be lucky but as I said quality will prevail. Must get up to Burnley next year. I'm at Middleton 29th so come and have a chat / beer. Not sure how we will know each other but the noise from the SSLAAS will point you in the right direction Cheers Tabs

So if Burnley, Middleton, 100 club, etc were all on the same night do you honestly think you would get the same amount in. Really don't think so. Interesting point is that its the nighters that 'generally' seem to do OK. Soul nights / mini nighters seem to suffer. Cheers

I've said it on here before but I always wondered how his career would have developed if he was still alive(along with Sam Cooke of course) Can anyone imagine a show with Otis, Sam and Marvin on the stage, all at he same time. Think that line up could be a little bit magical.
