But this is a Northern Soul site, not a Beatles appeciation society. I just get really pissed off with glib comments, especially when its about a film production which is aimed at 'mainstream' filmgoers who haven't a clue about the concept or content. The whole thing reminds me of a BBC 2 play where boy meets girl etc. in the early 80's. Can't remember the title but at least the music was authentic. Pete S - help me out here what was the play title

Don't totally agree Rod but I'm a natural born cynic. I'm losing interest in this but what will be will be. I really hope they get it right and I've no problem admitting I was wrong and eating humble pie. Too long in the tooth to worry any more Time will tell but I really can't abide distortion of the truth or total inaccuracy. My last post on this thread (unless I'm wound up ) Best Tabs

What exactly have people surmised? The reson why people won't give it a rest is because they are passionate and don't want to see history re written.

So to recap. The writer doesn't know his baggies from his flares. The soundtrack will feature tracks from 'The Dap Kings, Sharon Jones, Amy Winehouse*, Mark Ronson*, Paul Weller and Duffy (*in discussions)'. All well known artists in 1974. The Casino sequences will include records not played at the Casino. And we still don't know if the songs will be the original artists. This is going to be a blockbuster. If you want to make a 'period' movie at least try and make it accurate.

Hi Steve, PM Brav mate. He is one of the good guys and I'm sure he will sort it. Don't mention my name cus he will only blame me for his hangover Any probs then PM me and I'll do the biz. Got to get the young 'uns involved - they are the future. Even though she needs to develop a better taste in music. Just as a total aside was talking to Tommy Hunt tonight who came down from Crewe with Brav. (No he wasn't performing, was a punter like everyone else) Had a real good chat about family pets, the economy and general bollox. A really genuine bloke who can tell a mean tale. Cheers Tabs
