  1. Well I've emailed them and had a reply. I've sent the tickets back today. I'll update when I hear anything else.
  2. Totally agree with Mike. People need to know. I was told early today by a ticket seller that the whole event was cancelled. But that needs confirming by the promoters. Very concerning that they have not been on here. Also I haven't been able to contact them on their phone numbers. Does anybody know if any of the DJ's have any info? Best Tabs
  3. Look at your box - very top choice. /index.php?showforum=56
  4. Thread already started here. /index.php?showtopic=95799
  5. These days it could be Northern or Southern hemisphere.
  6. Four tickets for me please and an email on the way. Thanks Tabs
  7. The Dennis Edwards has probably been carved from the Motown Sings Motown Treasures Volumes 1+2
  8. I can see where you are coming from and I can't ever percieve Soul Music reaching the peaks it did in the 60T's, in terms of popularity. But also I can't accept it's dead. Too may aficionados will keep the torch burning. Also I think its impossible to compare early Soul recordings to present day. Something recorded in 1965 is now 44 years old. Techniques and technology have moved on. It's just not possible to re create those pioneering days IMO. Best Tabs
  9. Born New York. From memory Mexican or Puerto Rican parentage
  10. Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. If it's the same exhibition as London then well worth visiting.
  11. If its the red dresses I'm thinking about they certainly had them on display at the V&A in London.
  12. Funny that. All the effort they put into telling us they were making the film, needing extra's etc. And absolutely zilch when it's been finished. The Strange World of Show Business
  13. Yes but he does have 'reiss' in the description.
  14. And if it's the venue I'm thinking of they have a membership system. So no guarantees that membership will stop problems. But it would reduce them ino.
  15. Correct Mel. The second wave was only after the success of Quadrophenia. I can still smell Green Onions even now
  16. I think you might have got the wrong end of the stick here Ian. I read the 'bullshit" comment as a reference to all the sniping going on from your fave posters. And Leigh was effectively asking for the thread to get back on track. That was my take on the post anyway.
  17. Only if there from La La Land
  18. Is this a serious question The anwer is a most definite yes.
  19. Thanks Ian. Do you know if it's vinyl or styrene and the $64,000 question, the condition?
  20. Ian, Where exactly does it say in this thread it's a third copy? John M doesn't actually say that in his post. Cheers
  21. Well I'm still nowhere near convinced that a 3rd copy exists. John has not confirmed it is a 3 rd copy I can understand the confidentiality aspect to an extent, but a reply saying it is from a mainland European collector, USA, or anywhere other than the UK would clarify the situation. Just my guess but Kenny's effectively retiring, he has sold recently and if the price is right why should he keep DILY.
  22. Well as I was with the same group on Friday it's an easy question to answer. But even if I wasn't the reference to virgins and burger van gave it away. Rugby it is. But 2 more reasons to attend are 1) real friendly people and guaranteed a warm welcome. 2) A help your self to a few sweets selection on the main door when you arrive
  23. Hi Ed, Was head of Motown quality department in the 60's. Presumably at the time during which DILY was recorded.
