  4. Hi Matt, Hope you and the family are all OK. See you in a few weeks The 1973 version was also released on UK Epic as That Lady. The reason I didn't mention it was because I assumed everyone would know that, and went for the earlier version. Cheers Tabs
  5. This one was what I thought it was. I'm amazed it was on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04DrhTNUN-4
  6. I'm guessing you mean the original 1964 version. United Artists release but no idea on price. Seem to think it came out on a LP as well. Someone will confirm that I'm sure.

  9. Brill- you been playing it out?
  10. Came out on both. The yellow is the demo and multi is the issue. Not sure if its a different plant though. But like you I've seen more yellow that multi.
  11. Well this one went for £202 at the end of April this year. But had the centre and you didn't mention the vinyl condition. So I'd guess between £50 and £75. https://www.popsike.com/THE-SAPPHIRES-GOTTA-HAVE-YOU-LOVE-RARE-NORTHERN-HMV/180347837445.html
  12. Correct. A truec 60's film. Link here https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061748/
  13. Stormy but always had a soft spot for The Happening
  14. Many thanks for the reply. I find the history of artists and there recordings fascinating. If the articles I've read are up to date you are now based in Kansas. It must be incredibly difficult to research a recording over 40 years old and produced n Michigan. And thats without attending to your ministerial duties which obviously take priority. I really do appreciate you taking the time to come onto Soul Source. Kind regards
  15. So don't get used to it. Where you first went behind the decks and just up the road. Not saying you have to be out every week but don't burn them bridges. See you soon mate. Best Tabs
  16. Hi again, Any replies you post on this forum can be read by everyone. So you don't have to keep answering the same questions over and over. Simon Soussan is well known on this scene. (Infamous even) Choosing my words carefully he would be described as shady. So my first question is what business proposition did he approach you with? Was it just the European tour or were any other incentives put on the table? My second is you said IDLTL was a local hit. Can you remember how many records were pressed up? And my third question is do you have any spare copies you can send me. I'll pay the postage and packing. It really is a privilege to chat with artists like yourself who don't realize how revered they are in the UK. Thanks for your time and trouble. Best wishes. Tabs
  17. Sad news indeed and only 61. When will I see you again helped define the Philly sound. RIP

  20. Hello and welcome to Soul Source. I'm sure the questions will come thick and fast when more people realize you are on this forum
  21. Hi Roger, Glad you enjoyed it. Just a good show celebrating the classic years.
  22. Nice one Brav. Long time no see / speak. Hope you are keeping well fella.
  23. Hope you enjoy it. Forgot to say in my original post that as part of the MJ tribute Mary sang I am Changing from the Dreamgirls movie.
  24. Well as promised a quick review of the Legends tour at the NIA. Sold out and the venue was rammed. Running order was the Miracles, Martha, Mary then the Commodores. Miracles were vocally excellent. Did the classics, inc. Tracks of my Tears, Tears of a clown and Going to a go go. Slick and well choreographed. Next up was Martha. Well as we all know her voice is shot. Also gave me the impression she couldn't't remember the words to her hits. Lots of getting the audience involved singing along to Heatwave, Dancing etc. Very poor imo. Mary Wilson next who was the Star of the show for me. Vocally superb doing all the classics as expected. Not only that she looked like she was really enjoying herself.. Strutting her stuff and smiling all the way through. She had people up on the stage dancing with her and just came across as a natural Particularly enjoyed her rendition of You can't Hurry love. Really up-tempo and bassy. Next was the headline act The Commodores. Did all there hits excluding The Zoo. Really professional, vocally brilliant and well rehearsed. Got the audience involved and there act even included pyrotechnics. Needless to say there were the MJ tributes. Martha just recounted the first time she saw the J5 at the Harlem Apollo. Mary was along the lines of when you think about Michael just remember his musical talent and ability. Most cringe worthy was the Commodores tribute. They requested a 30 sec silence for a 'fallen colleague.' Fallen colleague. Not like he had been in a war, a media circus and publicity feeding frenzy yes but hardly any thing else. So overall I enjoyed it. Good value for money as the show was just under 4 hours long inc a 30 min intermission. Highlights for me were Marry and sharing joint second the Commodores and Miracles. Such a shame about Martha. The other 4 occupants of my 'taxi' also enjoyed the event. My daughter thought it was awesome and she has been to a fair few non soul concerts. And for her to say that is a testament to a good show. Hope that will help people who may be undecided about seeing this tour. Best Tabs
