i can look in copyright if you have a title, idea of year, and it's an odd enough title. Any other markings on the acetate (e.g. writer, publisher, etc.). BMI probably won't have it online.

I know sometimes people don't remember or say names right also but the photo they sent me had the names written on the back (you can see the bleedthrough).

I never recorded an mp3 but it's online on my radio show on the 6/20/2010 show if you just want to hear it. The record ended up having a tiny edge crack when i got it and i *hate* cracks but I figured it would be a long time before I saw another copy and I could resell it if I ever upgraded. Can you PM me how much the dude wanted for the Janion copy? What does the deadwax look like?

for the record I wasn't making fun of his grammar, I was saying that I thought it was used wrong and when I checked it was correct in this case.

I'm not sure but I think Janion is first just because the Core release says "Janion Music BMI". However, this is not definitive obviously. If I had both releases I would compare deadwax to see if the same plates were used, a date was there, etc. but I only have the Core release. I think they're the same label though, as they have the same catalog number (102) and the group's next release is 104. Do you have the second record "loneliness" on elmcor? very hard to find.

The only colored wax thing on Action Pac I know was a DIY Punk looking EP of 4 songs that they themselves put out in the 80s. It has a killer ballad called "do it right the first time" that has them singing over like a casio with the built in rhythm on. I'm pretty sure there are "repros" of at least one of the doowop titles on Swinging. but I'm sure this one has not been booted.

I'm pretty sure you automatically will lose if you do it all online and then have to call them to appeal. Making the phone call is the best step you did.

i thought "eulogize" only applied to people that had died or things that were gone but I just looked it up and it can just be used to praise something absent the context of death. So this auction has not only taught me about records but has also taught me additional nuances of the english language. Thanks!

There is one in popsike for $50 (and I've seen it sell for less once) but it's not known and is very rare so it does depend on whether it becomes in demand or not.

it's probably a $25 record, not common at all but the cheapest thing on the label due to lack of demand. I didn't make the connection before but Ron Rush on that 45 is one of the people who ran the Aidqueen label
