  1. les harris is worse
  2. report the dude and ignore the message. the only reason to respond is to be polite in a way that baits him into more reportable offenses.
  3. I've had lots of things broken that were poorly packaged by dealers and have (rarely) had stuff not received. I always send photos when communicating with the dealer. They always think that their crappy packaging is great and that you're lying unless you provide evidence. Putting a not immediately visible mark on your record isn't a bad idea though as a dealer. I just don't think that this type of fraud happens enough to warrant it, and it won't really make a difference with paypal anyways. The only reason for the mark would be to discourage the buyer from trying to cheat you.
  4. i'm not sure how well that compares to rare collectibles though. spare IT parts are available and not unique and you're usually dealing with larger entities. i'm on a mostly record dealer forum and people almost never mention this issue with buyers. the most common issue people complain about involves scammer boogie buyers in certain countries who do chargebacks on everything.
  5. broken labels happen pretty often. the worst is when the label makes it into the playing grooves
  6. I still don't believe this is a regular occurrence and that many sellers use this as an excuse to not accept returns. Of course I mainly buy records so this may happen more than I expect but I still don't believe it's "regular".
  7. congratulations. I think there was a thread here about your auction actually. I also think your dad might have collected garage records and you might want to post to a garage rock forum. soul incorporated is a garage record that the northern soul community picked up on, but probably most of the rest of the value in your collection is for rock collectors. good luck!
  8. thanks so much for your help I really appreciate it. I found the clip on youtube. I haven't compared closely but it sounds like the julmar record. I can't find the other lundy version on youtube but I believe you that it's different. Thanks again.
  9. Ok I'm confused now (sorry if I'm being thick). The light blue lundy is a florida press with a bahamas address and is Lundy 1401. It has "I want to share" on it. The julmar is a 60s press with a blue and white label. What is the red lundy you're talking about? The only red lundy I know is Lundy 1940 - Brad Lundy - Baby if you ever need my love / What would you do and it's from 1977. I would love any more info / a scan of the red lundy with "breaking point". I'm trying to get all the info correct for soul harmony singles. Thanks in advance for your help.
  10. if you find a record by a singer named frank wilson on the soul label, your best bet is set saleing it here for at least $100
  11. the ripples remake "cowgirls to boys" doesn't really make sense imo
  12. I'm not an LP guy so I was wrong -- popsike only has one LP and some other things produced by him. It's confusing when groups like the Family Circle and Brief Encounter have multiple ultra-rare Lps.
  13. I know lundy 1401 and julmar 2647, what is the third released version? are they different recordings, different mixes, etc? I only own Lundy 1401 so I can't compare.
  14. don't they have 2 LPs? i have an 8x10 somewhere i can dig out and scan.
  15. what was the $5000 record?
  16. this record was not a terrible rock record, someone would appreciate it even if it wasn't great. but it wasn't soul and wasn't "northern soul".
  17. you know when some random person finds this at an estate sale and doesn't know what it is, then googles it, they will find this thread first thing, right? And then think it's worth a million dollars? I've shot myself in the foot a few times this way.
  18. ok sorry, i missed that part of your post and was relying too much on the title. sorry.
  19. you should have told him his greed makes him a near homeless loser
  20. now i'm all up excited thinking about john obsessively screen capturing pages of billboard online in the nude. p.s. it's thanksgiving, it's close to a week off
  21. the count = count769 les harris ID changes like once a year... someone else can probably dig up his current one before me.
  22. I only half agree with this. If someone says they will charge you $24 shipping, I expect to pay that, but I expect the shipping to cost in that ballpark. i recently did a chargeback because of this, stating i did not get the service i paid for.
  23. the negatives don't mean anything anymore. it's all DSRs
  24. both him and les are bottom of the barrel. les keeps creating new accounts but the count is always the same account. he doesn't sell very much because of his ridiculous reserves, which doesn't give him the opportunity to get many low DSRs.
  25. yeah, she had two records on the label and one had her picture on the label. she was some white lady. p.s. i've been to cyprus, are you at a nude beach? are you nude?
