Dyson's Faces Lp
These are all legit 70s presses. He only has "permission" to play the first one? Seriously? EDIT: I apologize if am misunderstanding and you are trying to tell him the best pressing or something like that.

Margaret Little On Ebay
this is not currently true on ebay. the bidder list looks exactly the same during and after the auction. Also, not directed at either one of you, please stop bickering, this isn't an argument that's going anywhere and escalating it won't do anything. Thank you.

that video is totally ADD btw. i can't believe the person made 1300 videos like that too.

Mary Wells On Jubilee
the jubilee records sound totally different than her previous material to me, her style went southern, probably due to the womack's influence. the clip you posted also sounds southern.

John Manships Auction Results 19-12-2012
I'm not sure the people with too much cash are the people who overpay. I bet someone with very little cash will buy that margaret little with the chunk taken out of it, as having an expensive record is such a status symbol on the northern scene and the person will see it as their only chance to get a copy.

Oaxaca - Stop Your Crying - On Mariposa
I think the first few times it was on ebay it went for a lot (I think Mike Vague sold it a few times) and then interest waned. I didn't pay that much for mine. I don't like it that much but right now there are some very similar sounding latin records that are big that I don't like but that other people like a lot and that people put in their sets and mixes, so my opinion doesn't matter I guess.

Margaret Little On Ebay
sorry, this was confusing, KevH said "manufactured tune" (as in tailor made) and Tony Smith in response said it was a "manufactured record" (talking about it being a custom recording / press) and I was explaining what I think Tony meant in his response.

Margaret Little On Ebay
because, just to clarify, all 45s are manufactured...

I think he just means "custom press" and "custom recording"

Could have done it before with much difficulty, but this wouldn't be too hard to fix if my friend lets me use his 3d printer and he did the CAD stuff. Obviously it wouldn't play music over that spot but you could actually play the intro and it would be like running over a heat damaged part of the record or something similar.

Lucky Laws On Lu-Cee, Indemand R&b
I have a copy of Lucky Laws on Lu-Cee to sell. VG-, mainly because of ugly circular surface scuffing around the label, a ring about 1cm wide, DNAP. A nice play copy. here is full unprocessed stereo 256kbs audio of both sides: https://www.divshare.com/download/21479401-588 Here are scans of both sides (the scuffing does not show up in the scans): https://i982.photobucket.com/albums/ae304/sittinginthepark/luckylaws-a_zpsf144e235.jpg https://i982.photobucket.com/albums/ae304/sittinginthepark/luckylaws-b_zps94a2328a.jpg $50, paypal only, to reserve please EMAIL sitpsales@gmail.com. Lust On Cash $300
that pic looks like something like dust or something got embedded under the grooves (which is what someone else suggested to me) and there are spikes coming out of the record, which I'm sure pop when the needle goes over them. That's not what this record looks like at all. they are like very wide (but not tall at all) sand dunes or something. it's a clean record with a bizarre pressing defect that doesn't affect play.

shady people exist in every country collecting every genre. i'm sorry this happened to you.

Ebay
the phenomenon is mainly for boogie records and the scammers are mostly younger, early 20s collectors just knocking up bids or screwing around. the problem is that there are obviously legitimate boogie buyers in those countries and the scammers do it frequently and ruin the reputation of the countries for everyone.

Lust On Cash $300
I've seen many thousands of 45s and never seen this. I guess it could be air but if that were the case it must be trapped deep in the center because the vinyl is pretty solid. I wish I could take a picture to show it.

Lust On Cash $300
This is actually a clean copy. Selling this in demand Chicago modern 45 at a low price due to a weird problem with the record that does not affect play (read description) and because I'm trying to move it quickly. This is a copy of Lust "I love you still" / "I like spending time with you" on Ca$h. The actual vinyl is very clean, VG+ to VG++. However, there is a very weird problem with the record that clearly happened at pressing time and that I've never seen before. The vinyl is covered on both sides with weird non-uniform bumps which are large in area but very small in height. They are not high enough to possibly cause skips on any turntable, the needle lightly moves up and down (on another turntable I couldn't even see the needle move up and down at all). It is NOT heat damage, if you see the record you will see it only could have happened at pressing time (e.g. it needed extra vinyl material to come out this way). As far as I can tell they don't affect play at all, here is full 256kbs stereo audio of both sides: https://www.divshare.com/download/21480117-256 The bumps do not show up in scans. here are scans of both sides. https://s982.beta.photobucket.com/user/sittinginthepark/media/lust-a_zpsd2e78bde.jpg.html https://s982.beta.photobucket.com/user/sittinginthepark/media/lust-b_zps587647cf.jpg.html I am really bad at photography and despite everything I tried, I was unable to take a picture of the bumps. I did take some video of the record playing, which I was hoping would make the bumps visible. It doesn't but you can see the needle move lightly up and down: https://www.divshare.com/download/21480510-edc $300. $2 shipping to the US, $7 overseas. Paypal only. To reserve please EMAIL ME at sitpsales@gmail.com . I will respond to every email. Thanks for your interest.

Stylus And Cartridges Please Help
2-5? are you using a shure sc35? I would stay on the lower end of what is recommended, that is a needle that is probably meant for scratching, etc. so it allows for a higher tracking force, but for home play you definitely should stay on the lower end of the allowed force. if a needle is mistracking it is riding unevenly against certain parts of the grooves instead of sitting where it should be. this will ultimately wear the record unevenly (e.g. you could get distortion in one channel) and if you have a good system and good ear you should be able to hear that it doesn't sound good.
