  1. soul brothers six on atlantic
  2. I don't own any version of this, but there was an LP, so I guess it's possible one version is LP and one was 45?
  3. I have a copy to sell or trade of Leonard Adeair "I dig you" / "Pussycat baby" on One Way 301. This record is extremely rare and never comes up for sale, definitely harder than his other title (which is also rare) on Stage Productions. This copy is a clean VG, shiny with light scuffing, plays fine, I'm attaching a scan and audio. The flip has a few more marks but is still a similar grade. I will take offers on this (cash in US$ or trades) for a week (until next Saturday). Here is the scan: Here is an audio clip: ladeair.mp3
  4. not the same rotations, there were like 3-4 different rotations groups
  5. Not all demos have the red A. For example the Exits on Kapp came with Red A and Black A demos.
  6. The neighborhood is pilsen, not pilson, I didn't edit my post well. There is a store on the south west side of Chicago, Beverly records. They actually pressed the LP, I think they only pressed 100 copies. However, the 45 is much more common. There is a seller on ebay from that store that frequently sells it, it usually sells for $5-10, I think the seller id is soxamo, you should look for it. I think the teako 45 is one of the best sweet soul 45s to come out of Chicago.
  7. The mystics were a hispanic group from the Pilson neighborhood in Chicago, which is a hispanic area around 18th street on the south side. The lead singer Rudy Negron died last year. The 80s record was a remake, they actually cut a whole LP in the 80s which is very rare. No connection to the mystics on orr / mystiques.
  8. I definitely have a double of one of her cobra 45s but not sure if it is this one, I will try to dig it out.
  9. By the way, the group had members of the Kool Gents (including Johnny McCall) and the Turks
  10. How much did you have to pay for the limitations? I'm after a copy but don't know what it's worth either. Thanks.
  11. Paul: Did you get my email with the scan? Thanks.
  12. based on the writing, this was the copy lew stanley had for sale for a while, right?
  13. this has got be hard, as I collect Chicago records (including the CJ label), and I've never even heard of this.
  14. it's not the same design as the naturals
  15. the repress looks and sounds horrible. the sweet soul side is unplayable on the repress, it sounds like it was dubbed from a broken cassette tape. if you play that side you'll know for sure. original demos are rare, if you see a colored label it's an original for sure.
  16. I bought a copy from Dusty Groove the other day, the Harthon article is great
  17. soultown 103 and 106 are also little helen titles.
  18. you're talking about the 45 now or the 78? Thanks.
  19. I actually still don't have this, one of the few "common" records I still don't have. I kept losing it 5-6 years ago when it was $40, then kept losing it at $75 a few years ago, then it went up to the $150 range, now it's even higher, like $250 (still not 250pounds though). Still comes up all the time, I always lose it... I do have a beat up double of the jackie beavers to trade, a couple of people pm'ed me with a couple of northern non-group titles to trade, looking for a group soul record (60s-70s) to trade.
  20. does the 78 value have anything to do with the 45 value? It usually doesn't, right? anyways, this 45 is always trashed when I find it.
  21. This is definitely not one of those titles that is hard to find in good condition. It's for sale all the time and it's always a mint copy for sale. Records that are hard to find in good condition are ones where there's not a lot of store stock floating around. Most of the copies of this that come up for sale are from stock.
  22. also, what's up with the two 7013 titles? I've never seen that organization thing.
  23. OK, I just combined your two posts, and added flip information for the 2nd verse demo. I get the following. What is the flip of 402 and 7007? What is the missing 7008 title?
