2 Questions About Tim Brown's List
1. How much did the del-tours go for? 2. What is that "feminine touch" record on his current list that he has for 400 pounds? Anyone have a sound clip? I have never heard of it.

Inspirations Touch Me Etc
I have a demo of one of the inspirations on black pearl, which check which one and let you know when I get home...

King Ernest - I Feel Alright/hold It Baby - Barry Demo Value Please?
yeah, he performed as a blues artist in Chicago as King Ernest until he died, I think he had records on alligator or something (modern blues is not what I know about).

Inspirations
Benn-X was definitely a philly label, there are also 2 records on the label by the Moniques. I think Dave Brown from Philly did the recent inspirations on benn-x reissue. Someone above mentioned the midas group, which was totally unrelated and which was from Milwaukee.

King Ernest - I Feel Alright/hold It Baby - Barry Demo Value Please?
His first record is ERNEST KING on MERCURY. He died a couple of years ago.

Change In My Life - 2001 Black Essence
No, I don't think it's the same label. The lyrics is detroit and late 60s, the black essence is NY and like mid 70s.
-
Metaphors On Rad
no, but it does come up for sale every once in a while, usually $100-$200 depending on who's looking, occasionally even less.

Change In My Life - 2001 Black Essence
There's another record on the label by a kiddie group called Ebony Love, it's terrible though.

The Paramounts
Rose Rice was dating Otis Brown at the time. She left the group and was replaced by Gwendolyn Little, who was previously a member of Henry Ford and the Gifts. Rose apparently died in an accident soon after that. I think that the label was co-owned by Browley Guy by the way.

Who Knows?
I can't tell you without hearing the clip, but a guess might be the soul city "who knows", which is an excellent cut and a cover of the gladys knight and the pips record.

Metaphors On Rad
Hey Meaty, I was looking at this modern record by a group called "metaphor" on a yellow label I got recently (I forget the label) and it has the same names... must be the same group, from new york apparently. The thing on the yellow label is from the later 70s though.

21st Century
that is not "21st century" that is the 21st generations. It came out on tri city and ultra city. They may be connected to the 21st on joy, though, just because both are detroit.
-
21st Century
I don't think it does, but even if it does, it's not the same group as on RCA (I know one of the members of the RCA group). You want more confusing info? The Marvin Smith that produced the RCA group is not the Artistics' Marvin Smith, even though it is Chicago.
-
Huff Puff Records
the soul harmony singles book says that the producers is kenny gamble and the romeos / floaters, etc. Don't know if this is correct or not.
-
21st Century
Dave, the Bee Gee and 21st Century Ltd on RCA were NOT the Chicago group, they're not the same group as on golden tone and the other RCA... I know it's confusing that there were 2 21st century's on RCA. There also was that gruop on gospel truth. The Chicago group did because the 21st creation on motown though.

Unusual Auction
If you want them to ship to me and me to ship to you, that's fine, but I'm not sure how to ship a bunch of labels. I guess I can cover up the original packaging or something, plus it might be expensive.
-
Unusual Auction
my friend had a few sheets of unused mod-art lp labels, each sheet had like 4 labels with a marker of where to cut. I don't know how all of those different labels could have come together as in the auction, all cut out like that, unless someone collected them and put them together that way.

Is This Golden World / Motown / Pied Piper Related?
as far as I know golden world of sound is a florida label, lots of oddball stuff on there, the pendulum swingers came out on it (even though it's an atlanta group), the mystic 5, friday saturday and sunday, and a bunch more that i'm not thinking of.

Help! Millionaires - Value?
the repress is also on castle, I think you have to look for the frankford wayne stamp in the deadwax to tell an OG

21st Century
The Dot/Noel group is Black, they are from LA and are the same group as the Pentagons (going back to the doowop days), Themes on Minit, and are connected to the Jones Brothers on seel/bell/avi. They have no connection to any other 21st century group (there are a bunch of them).

Is This Well Known ?
I don't think there is a 3rd one on virtue. Can you check out to see if you are mistaken? I'm interested if there is a 3rd one to know what it is. Thanks.

Unifics
The fountain record has a fantastic sweet soul side "dawn of a new day" ... it's cheap too. I vaguely remember one of their songs got released twice on kapp, with a different mix or different version or something, it says "different mix" or something like that on the label. I have two different kapp pic sleeves of the group, one is of them sitting at desks on the lawn of howard university, the other is them balancing on some rocks on a river.

Is This Well Known ?
The virtue ones are also hard to find (come up about as frequently, maybe slightly more, than the zoom one). The one with the good northern side "how can I get in touch with you" used to be expensive because the funk side, but no one is buying funk anymore so you should be able to find it for around $100-$150 maybe? The other one has a nice midtempo side "give up".

Unifics
there's only one album (on Kapp).

Is This Well Known ?
This used to sell for nothing, the a few years ago I saw it sell for $500 on ebay! I've seen it less since but I think it is sort of known. I like both rdm band records on virtue.
