  1. I know someone who says they sing lead on "if by chance" but he wasn't a member of the actual group for long. I know other people who know group members, I will hopefully set something up this year. Thanks.
  2. I have the capitol 45 you mention from 1968 so I was assuming that it was the same capitol group mentioned in the all music article. I guess there were two curtis bros on capitol then. thanks for clearing that up.

  4. hi. what is the date of this article? thanks.
  5. if you look at the names on the 45, I'm pretty sure the record is actually an anomaly in that it's this white country group, plus I have one of the capitol 45s and it is soulish (and has the same names as on the 45) https://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&a...wzfyxqu5ldhe~T1
  6. i'm sure I have a decent brown-eyed version by some san antonio group like little jesse and the teardrops or one of those groups but I can't think of what it is now.
  7. if you haven't heard the 45, it has a stylistics type of sound, took me a while to find a copy and i've rarely seen it for sale
  8. in case you are trying to compare the actual 45s to see the difference, they look almost the same, except the brown color on the label is more purple-looking on the slower version
  9. i've had no problem with this seller in the past btw, if he says it's real it's probably real
  10. there's a memphis seller on ebay mark mckie selling it as user memmem, he has some stock from somewhere, he has more than one.
  11. dante is in the process of switching hosting services I think
  12. it's the title of a billy stewart song, any other version is a cover of the original hit version by billy stewart. thanks.
  13. there are actually two versions of the sentimentals, I played the slower version on that specific show
  14. I didn't know about that. the ones on ebay have come from different unrelated sellers though and have usually been beat, does that dealer have stock?
  15. he has another 45 on flash that is rare (it's a charley rich cover, not something you would actually want to play) and a 45 on USA. He was a member of the antennas on clay who are the same group as shirley and the squires on constellation. They also back perk lee on boss but are not the squires on boss for some reason. His brother george mcgregor was in the group too and cut a record on twinight. His brother is not the same person as the detroit george mcgregor, who is his cousin. Billy told me that mr shy was originally written for Ruby Andrews (as Mrs. Shy) but then he was persuaded to cut it on himself by Don Clay. I might interview billy on my radio show soon hopefully.

  17. i said it was the impressions, "emotions" was part of the title.
  18. he's not saying their records didn't exist, he's saying they didn't exist as a real group other than a studio entity. anyways, I thought their 45s and LP were on A&M
  19. you already got a better answer, but tony camillo was a big producer that produced a lot of records, i doubt you could connect anything his name is on just because his name is on it. Check out: https://www.tonycamillo.com/
  20. sorry, that is correct, but it is the same area: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dallas-Fort_Worth,_Texas
  21. Dallas, tx
  22. this is on a kent impressions ABC rarities CD as "Emotions (won't let me cry)" with Curtis singing lead, this recording sounds like Jerry Butler. If it isn't a released track maybe it is a Jerry Butler acetate.
  23. dauphine williams - i'm your man - yodi
  24. a bunch have come for sale not from the same source, sellers just sell their copies when they see them go for money I think.
  25. a couple of the members were also in the majestics on mala along with some of the vels
