  1. what's the deal with this? This was a US hit, if it was a boot, maybe for the US market in the 60s? If not, what's the deal? https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150467024778
  2. I think maybe the stock was imported to england because all the copies that come up for sale from detroit now are promos
  3. don't know if it makes a value difference but I've never seen a stock copy of this
  4. thanks as always for listening
  5. I think this is the word he meant to use even if he didn't know it: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/quinquagenarian
  6. I think it's actually against ebay rules for a seller to leave a positive feedback with a negative comment. You could report the feedback to ebay. ... also, if someone is going to complain, I know sellers have no recourse to leave feedback for buyers if they can only say positive things, but buyer feedback accomplishes nothing anyways
  7. Bernard Reed was the bass player on the brunswick jackie wilson stuff until about '71 when he left to go to twinight records. It might be him if it was recorded a little earlier. I will ask Bernard next time I see him, if i wasn't him he would know who it was.

    Rules

ok thanks for clarifying. but in this case your argument depends on the specific contractual terms of downloading from itunes, and wouldn't necessarily apply to other download sites. Also, you are saying that you can make a carver out of a CD track, your original post made it sound like something specific to vinyl.

    Rules

why do you own something "more" if you bought the vinyl versus if you downloaded it? this makes no sense. You don't legally have any more rights in either case.
  10. for what it's worth, i found out the flip is part 2 (don't know if it's instrumental or not)
  11. that gateway record is pretty good, I didn't know it. a bunch of copies are for sale on the internet but I couldn't find any info on a stock copy. Are stock copies very hard and do you know what the flip is called (or is it the instrumental)?
  12. one dude was mad because the magic fairy tales barbie as rapunzel hot wheels custom car designer CD only worked with windows '95 and '98

  14. it doesn't work if people delete sold record prices...
  15. the seller is the one deleting the price. Why would they want to help a buyer buy a record off them and resell it for much higher?
  16. I think paul kyser was saying the nu sound express was the same group as some other group, anyone remember?
  17. Thanks. I have it on white and red, never seen the black one
  18. i think so, thanks for clarifying
  19. i think there's two presses of the wee also, a local one and one that has "bunky's pick" on it which got picked up for wider distribution.
  20. there is an awesome long psychedelic version that starts off with ruby rapping on the first ruby andrews' lp
  21. mercury white labels and red labels exist. it is a white group.
  22. thanks for the info. I probably incorrectly assumed that all volt white labels were promos. Strange for any label to do, though, esp volt.
  23. I'm guessing it says promo on the other side, which is the real a-side of this record. I have never seen a white press of a volt record that wasn't a promo (or maybe I just assumed as you are pointing out, that it is a promo?). If it doesn't say it anywhere it is an interesting record.
  24. why do you think that that white promo is a later press?
