  1. The enchanted five are from Ohio (although the label has new york connections). the record has nothing to do with Chicago.
  2. thanks as always for listening!
  3. I don't think it is yet known / valuable. The other one was only recently "discovered" and it's rarer.
  4. you're saying "track down" came with two flips? news to me, I've had it three times always with "welcome home". what is the other flip?
  5. I personally like "jackie" better actually. I think it is less rare though.
  6. no one has noted that the "deep flip" is a walter jackson cover

  8. one ended unsold yesterday I think for $150 so I would say maybe less than $150
  9. no there isn't a sweet side. the apollo show band are also from stockton.
  10. yeah, this blows, i wish i hadn't heard this
  11. I don't know, my friend Rob Sevier talked to someone involved with the record which is how I know the 9th creation thing.
  12. I have a copy in my trade box, do you have anything? This record is actually pretty rare, it's just not known. This group is from stockton, CA and evolved into 9th creation, my friend talked to the label owner and they didn't have copies.
  13. i think this is spot on
  14. Ebay user tedsoul
  15. do NOT use paint thinner, it dissolves styrene if not vinyl. i have melted styrene with it before, never tried it on vinyl.
  16. I have many times successfully gotten paint out with 91% isopropyl alcohol. It has to be 91%, 70% doesn't work. I dab it onto a microfiber cloth and scrub the grooves with it. I usually am getting out paint drops though, it doesn't usually look like a broad stain like your pic. It's worth a shot though.
  17. the sinceres record is the a-side and is well known to sweet soul collectors. it has no relation to the five stairsteps song but is killer.
  18. I have two responses to your point: a) if you had sniped it you would have at least prevented the seller from making repeated bump slightly higher bids until they passed your max and would have prevented most forms of them knocking up your bid and b) you can actually see the high bidder if you get a bid in and then check if the high bidder suspiciously bids only on that seller's items (and then possibly unrelated items -- this often happens when the shill bidder is a wife or girlfriend of the seller). I have been in situations where I was clearly shill bid and I still took the second chance offer because I wanted it and it was clear they didn't have a box of the item (it wasn't in that great condition).
  19. This is a legit label variation. I think there's another one that also came out in this design but I have to dig them out to confirm. But this is definitely real.
  20. listen to a group member tell her story (along with the story of the record) here: https://www.sittinginthepark.com/interviews/lovemasters-11-15-2009.mp3
  21. I sent it to london. Maybe it's not supposed to be possible but I did it, it was insured for like $1000 but customs was only $10. Also, like I said, maybe it was stupid because it's possible that an insurance claim would fail (although if the package is lost at least I don't know how they would know what was on customs, could be a different story if it was damaged).
  22. I actually did manage to put low customs on a record that I insured for more once! I might have been screwed if I actually had to put in a claim though.
  23. vivian jones totally made the soul source ads on this page which was amusing
  24. i had plenty more deals just this month, that 45 I posted was just an example from yesterday... not even my only example from yesterday. I recently learned on here about the reginas on deblyn being someone's cover up and someone had it for sale for 700 pounds. I got it on ebay for $150 this month because that auction wasn't talked about. So it was the opposed of what's being discussed here (a live ebay auction being posted about). I'm sure if it was posted here it would have gone for much more.
  25. make fun all you want but obscure records fly under the radar daily. here's one I got yesterday that i've never seen before: https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270721743918 not great but the record could easily have gone for $100 had more people seen it
