Ok I didn't notice that. That really seems to be the only difference, label variations like that are common across releases even at the same pressing plant. Thanks.
while there may be different labels, what are you noticing that's different about those? They are all different scans / pictures which can look different due to scanners, cameras, lighting, etc. Those don't look that different to me.
A bunch of random old soul guys are in Barbershop, just because it has a lot of older Chicago guys in it. One of the Mandells and one of the Auditions are in it for example. I wouldn't be surprised if more soul guys were in it.
About a year ago I decided to tell every seller who sent a 45 with terrible packaging (e.g. often in bubble wrap) about how to pack a 45. I did it super politely and left positive feedback first. It just pissed people off.
I think if you're buying from someone you don't know (especially someone who doesn't look like a seasoned 45 seller), you should add a polite note to your payment about packaging.
There are a bunch of ebay record dealers (often in different genres) whose auctions command a premium, due to professional listings, a large amount of return customers built up over the years, etc.
I never understood how people think it's a good idea to register on sites as "Ruby Andrews" or whatever artist they think is cool. I understand you're a fan, but you know they're actual people and not like some object, right?

a little over a day left
The bags unlimited site specifically says that polyethylene and polypropylene are suitable for long time storage but polyvinyl sleeve (which is also semi-rigid) offgasses and is not:
https://www.bagsunlimited.com/c-86-poly-sleeves.aspx#PV
I think the sleeves you are talking about are probably not PVC since the plastic is thinner and not stiff, but it also isn't clear on the site.
https://www.bagsunlimited.com/p-4178-7-polylined-sleeve.aspx
you could ask them. they're probably fine but personally i'm too paranoid to touch any poly inner sleeve.
not trying to be a dick, but i don't see the point in posting these two auctions. what's special or interesting about them versus a hundred other ebay auctions that are on at any time?
Kris, are you maybe thinking of a topic on Waxidermy?
I panicked after reading that and have been trying to purge all poly lined sleeves from my collection. I know exactly what that hazing effect looks like too, it sucks and causes surface noise and there's nothing you can do
I probably could find it in copyright to find a real year but it took 20 minutes to find that DPG thing so I will try to do this one when I have the chance.
I think even the labels are probably the same label. If you look at the publishing on the pusherman record, it goes to a website where they're actually selling maison de soul 45s.
I would be surprised if this record was '71, before curtis mayfield's "Pusherman". I guess it would be interesting if it predated him though.
