Uptown - (Label Of The Week)
yeah, there's a lot of bad information that gets copied and circulated about. I used to see the "interns" record (a garage / pop thing) listed as the intertains. i wish i had a real answer on whether that b-side exists so I can cross it of my want list. the intertains and ambassadors are from cleveland. The ambassadors on uptown are the same group as on debroussard. The intertains have some sort of connection to the entertains on steel town.

it sounds like a jazz or maybe exotica vocal, that production doesn't sound like soul to me

45's Of Fury On Dublab.com - 23Rd February

Hytones Acetate Hear
yeah, i saw that too, it's funny how many collectors only know the ultra-expensive items. once i saw someone who should have been more knowledgable win a trashed manhattans on carnival where the label had fallen off but where there was a soundclip, for over $100. it wasn't even listed as unreleased, the seller was just like "I don't know what this is".

The Undisputed Truth - (Artist Of The Week)
I haven't seen a zillion soul train episodes so i'm not the best judge, but that is the best soul train line i've ever seen. i like the track too. i never flipped over "smiling faces". What was motown's intention with the group? I always thought they were supposed to be a toned down and slightly more rockish version of parliament. Obviously by the late 70s LP covers they had the full outer space parliament ripoff thing going on. And so many of their songs were covers of other songs. Were they norman whitfield's main product at motown in the 70s?

Bloodstone On Epic
I'm pretty sure the epic tracks were completed as one of them appeared on some Japanese compilation LP. But not the other side. I knew the epic UK records were just the UK releases of the t-neck records. FYI, the pzazz record isn't their first record. I have an earlier 45 by the group on the Zina label out of new york, definitely the same group given the credits.

it is him singing. the recording from the auction is identical to the recording from the record in that youtube video.

Lee Andrews - Contact Assistance?
can you send someone a personal message on twitter? if so, you could send a message to questlove, who is andrew's son. I know someone else probably has a more direct contact, but at least it's an idea if nothing else works.

isn't a publisher's acetate usually a sparse songwriter's demo? because that one side is exactly identical to freddie waters.

Uptown - (Label Of The Week)
the intertains 729 # is listed in some sources as having an alternate b-side -- "I've gotta find out for myself" instead of "need your love". I have never seen this and can't find much evidence of this, except one person on the entire internet saying their copy has "I've gotta find out for myself." It sort of sounds like an error where someone listened to "gotta find a girl" and misinterpreted the lyrics. Can anyone provide any evidence for the alternate 729 flipside? I would say it definitely is an error except for one person on the internet saying their copy (which is a canadian press) has "I've gotta find out for myself." I thought maybe it was the canadian presses that had that title but there is (or at least was) one on Manship's site and it has the regular 729 flip. Thanks in advance for any info.

Bloodstone On Epic
thanks. does the epic single exist? I don't even think it exists on a UK or other country press.

Bloodstone On Epic
Hi. Does anyone have a copy of this 45? Does it even exist? One of the sides is on a Japanese comp but it could have been unreleased from tapes. Any info would be appreciated (a scan would be awesome). The specific info is this: Epic 50437 - Got to Find Myself Another Baby / Weeping Willow Tree Thanks in advance.

the sweet side is killer and sweet soul interest is picking up, but I don't think it's "picked up" to even $300 yet.

i'm sure the ballad was released and it's the same lead singer on the release (if not the same recording) but I can't think of what it is.

Unknown 45 ?
is it this guy or just another guy with the same name: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boogie_Bill_Webb because the record sounds really White to me (and the psychedelic guitar solo that comes in at the end doesn't help), but Boogie Bill Webb wasn't white.

a lot of those CDs have nothing to do with rights, many are bootlegs I've also seen people refer to every okeh record as chicago
