  1. I was like "whoa someone needs to calm down" until I realized you were responding to yourself..
  2. This group (Unity on Apex) are exactly the same group as the Decisions on York / Sussex. They are from Atlanta, GA.
  3. a google search will not always pull the popsike scan up, and i don't think it will if it's in the description. if something has sold multiple times recently it gives a real ballpark of ebay auction value as well as a ballpark of rarity. you can see many label variations as well as determine relative rarity of promo vs stock, etc. if there is enough data for it to be meaningful. if someone is looking up hundreds of records should they really post every one here? soul source isn't a free record pricing service and honestly i'd trust popsike better than some people's valuations.
  4. The group on the carolina and detroit labels are from Charlotte, NC . See Jason Perlmutter's site: https://www.carolinasoul.org/north/non.htm
  5. I agree with this, popsike was worth whatever few dollars I gave them to use it and I would gladly repay if I had to.
  6. the four tracks is back up in price too (not $4000 though). whenever quantity of something comes out people get scared and the price drops signficantly. it takes a while of no copies being out there for demand to build back up again.
  7. I didn't offer any opinion on the music, I offered my opinion on a bootleg where 500 copies were pressed. Sorry if that wasn't clear. Thanks.
  8. also, btw, the monticellos are from buffalo NY and are exactly the same group as Madeline and the Monticellos.
  9. do you also need the dontells?
  10. I will find out soon...
  11. SORTED!!! Thanks so much to the generosity of everyone who responded.
  12. Hi. I'm looking for hi-res scans of a clean copy of the Blendels - Did you mean / You need love on Dontee, both sides. I can make you a recording of something in return, or you can get good karma for helping me out. Thanks in advance.
  13. use an eraser, you can definitely significantly reduce their appearance on the white label if you can't get rid of them entirely people have told me they use art / kneaded erasers but I was never successful with them and I've torn off parts of the label doing that before.
  14. you should definitely do a paypal claim but if you sent them back without any sort of confirmation the seller can claim he never received them
  15. it's not like i've seen a lot of copies of any of the titles (before they came up recently) so it must just be a coincidental experience of mine. Thanks.
  16. do you still need the monticellos or sonji clay? i imagine someone would have sent you scans by now (without a blue line through them also...). I need 300DPI or higher scans of a clean copy of both sides of the expensive Blendels on Dontee ("did you mean" / "you need love"). Can anyone here help? I can trade scans (although my scanner is currently putting a blue line through things) or record something for you. Thanks.
  17. I paid the fee. I paid it like 18 months ago and have not had to repay even though it's supposed to only be 6 months. It definitely pays for itself. the scans on collectorsfrenzy are all sized too small (they reduce the image) and you can't read them, it has less history since it's newer, and you can't search the descriptions which is the biggest negative. The thing people like about collectorsfrenzy is that they have an iphone app so people use them in record stores.
  18. yeah sorry. i'm gonna go back and listen to the long version of the vanguards (actually I have a double to sell now ...). That is killer.
  19. yeah, my friend who I was selling the copies of his faces record is rob at numero. i hope a cd comes out.
  20. yeah sick photos. do you know the exact lineup of the original godfather strivers on their 45?
  21. so I recorded the san francisco INS 45 and was listening to it and it's actually just under 4 minutes. I think it's identical to the 20th century 45 and just lists a different time on the label.
  22. also steve i haven't forgotten you...
  23. There is another earlier very rare ron surrey record on the label. it's this: https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251062590003&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:US:3160 weird right wing anti-protestor flip
  24. you got dave brown's copy. he was pissed he had to sell his personal copy to pay bills. he said he's never seen another one. $3500 seems ridiculous though.
