  1. Sorry... have I got it slightly wrong? US demos are double sided of the A side (Henry Ralph) and not having the B side? Not having a US copy I was only going from memory I thought I'd seen a demo with both sides on it - ah well... I stand corrected then Cheers Joe
  2. I've got this on Action (Promo) Which just prompts me to mention that strangely enough, this was the 'B' side in the USA whereas on the UK release - it was the 'A' side. UK demos are same both sides but the US demo has both sides of the record. ...That's just in case anyone's interested...
  3. Deffo the flip to 'Ella Weez': Leroy Hutson - "Ella Weez" / "Could this be love" Cutom 1996 What number is the one you have Sean? Maybe it came out twice
  4. The flip side is somewhat like a 4 tops song don't you think
  5. Wasn't it an old Garry Rushbrooke spin from the early 80's?
  6. I think this is also on the 'Superpack' LP Never quite sure which LP came out in what order though
  7. Actually, I don't think I have
  8. Just an update on this question, I've asked a mate who has 'contacts' in Vegas, he's going to ask if anyone knows who the group are / were. I'll let you know if and when he replies.
  9. It's actually Blue I'm trying to catch up, it's hard going!
  10. I'm almost certain this was the flip side to "Ella Weez" Get the Album too, I usd to play it daily back in the mid 70's, it's great
  11. You haven't seen nothing yet - will hatcher - wheelsville 12013 refosoul I think this is the blue label version - without piano intro? I found it on a CD I'd got - still not come across my green copy yet though!
  12. Love somebody, love someone - sensations wild - buck ram 1001 11946 refosoul C/W Country livin' Meanwhile. for those who don't know it....
  13. I've got this 45 - nice it is too Sorry but I've no idea who they might be, I'll have to try and find it and see if there's anything on the label - I can't recall anything tho'
  14. While we're posting pictures of Karl's songs, we might as well have one of Otis' 45
  15. But just how many others? I only know of one other - Otis Leavill on Dakar and a lovely version it is too! Are there any others?
  16. I'm glad you said that Sean - That's just what I thought It'll save me hunting my green un out
  17. Getting back to the topic of the 'Players' 45, there's one on eBay at the moment, but no picture. Described as 'The Players' though - not Cameo
  18. Find my way - tymes - columbia / uk direction 11828 refosoul UK release: August 8th 1969 So it says on the 'A' side - "If you love me baby"
  19. Actually I haven't CD'd it yet - one of the many, but it's not a bad version. I've had it since the early 80's, but coincidently Steve G reviewed it not all that long ago for In The Basement if I recall correctly I'll try and make it a date for Spondon - sounds like my kinda 'do' PS - 'The Way Of The Crowd' is on their "People" LP also on Columbia / UK Direction
  20. And of course before that release it was done by The Tymes in 1969 on Columbia - (Mines on UK Direction) Yes Sean - we must catch up... it's been a while now
  21. Yes, there were Blue ones and later Green label copies. Not a lot of difference in the recordings apart from the intro as I recall I don't know off hand if the release numbers were different though?....
  22. I seem to recall when the record first got spins it was as by the Players on Chocolate City records. Then shortly afterwards copies appeared as by Cameo. But I just found this piece of 'info' : Not having got a copy by the 'Players' I can't confirm the actual name on the record as to having the 'New York' as part of their name So we still need some confirmation on this one Anyone got a scan of the first 45 - were they promos only?
  23. Wasn't the Donnie Elbert 45 also on UK RCA? I feel sure I have a copy of it somewhere but don't know where it fits in release wise with the other two Top fives, tens or anything else are very hard to come up with, always changing - but here's a few that's getting repeat plays for me at the moment: General Crook - Thanks but no thanks - Wand Main Ingredient - Brotherly love - RCA Roscoe Robinson - Don't pretend - Fame Bettye Swann - You gave me love - Money Heaven & Earth - Promises - GEC
  24. "If it wasn't for the children" is an awesome deepie I've had this for the best part of 10 years now, but I can't say as I've played the other side much I must dig it out and give it another spin sometime Actually I don't recall why I bought it in the first place, I must have read of it somewhere, but it was the 'Children' side I got it for, thinking about it, it could have been in 'Voices From the Shadows' - I think there was a feature on Neal Kimble in there I hadn't noticed the recent popularity of it either (Sorry Chalky) - must get out more eh! (Mine's an issue too BTW) No mp3 of either, but can do them if required - just let me know
