Adam, Try paint remover? - Seriously though, I'm sure you'll have tried the old fingernail scraper trick, it sometimes works. Or maybe a plastic scraper of some sort, not too hard as to dig in the record but may just remove the offending item. Sean, just found out who you meant by "David Williams" Never really did much for me 'Little Britain' - so never connected the names ...especially with your spelling typo

I haven't heard of this one, but at a guess wouldn't the correct title be "I'm just an average girl"?

Cheers Adam, did you make it jump on purpose? Sean, I'm not sure who you mean by 'David Walliams' - who he then? Yes it does sound different, but not much, I'd still have to find out my Celebration 45 out to get a better comparison of the two. Funnny though, both 45s show the same timings and credits etc - I find it odd if they are not the same recordings - unless it was a mistake either with the pressing plant or the typing?

Cheers Adam, it would at least be something to compare the two with I've only got a small sound clip of the Quality 45 but haven't as yet found out my Celebration copy to see if I can tell if there actually is a difference. Has anyone come across this release before? I understand it's not the same recording as the one on US Celebration As you can see the Quality release is Canadian, any further info on this welcome

I could be wrong, but seem to think the re-issue was on P-Vine in Japan. I know there are CDs on that label not too sure if they even did a vinyl release - anyone know?

Alan, I'm not aware of it being on a 45 and according to someone who posted this on YouTube: This was suppose to be a single,thats why they are doing it on "Hullabaloo".It was NEVER released as a single, just an LP cut on "The Fabulous Ronettes". Maybe it didn't get a release as a single then?

Most likely the reason most of us bought this LP isn't it Gary? Other faves from this LP have to be "Loving you gets better with time" (Also the flip side to the 45 of "Frame of mind"), "Changes" & "Give love a try"

To make it even more confusing - "The Hesitations - push a little bit harder" Did come out on a 45! UK London - it was the flip side to "Born Free" which was also the title track to the LP it featured on. Ian - do you mean something like that 2 Volume CD release which went under the title of "Lonesome Train, The best of Oscar Perry"? Which came out over here in 1999 on Edsel and contained some of his unissued & released things from the Crazy Cajun era I guess you really mean his Peri Tone releases etc.... Sounds good though doesn't it

Actually "Don't look back" was a CD album Which is why I queried if there actually is a vinyl release of it... are you meaning to say you know there is a vinyl copy?

Hi Bob, I don't recognise it either but it's certainly got a Curtis Mayfield / Impressions influence. It sounds quite early 60's to me, which could have some bearing on the 'Batman' title. There's also a touch of Major Lance's "Monkey Time" & The Impressions "Woman's got soul" in there. Not a bad tune really I suppose... I wonder who's actually singing?

Heyup Steve, I'm sure I've at least one of his with the artist and title etc. written in that 'long letters' style which looks correct when you read it at an angle - such as from the top view of a record box. But looks kind of long and thin when seen face on - if you get my drift. I'll have a look out and see if I can find one to add to the 'collection'

I'm not sure if it was Cliff himself, but for sure I remember it was someone from the Northampton crowd. I can't remember the price either, but it was most likely somewhere in that region.

No doubt Mr Hampsey will say his piece on this topic, as it was he who made me aware of it, not all that long after it's release.
