  1. I may still have a spare of this 'tucked' away Give me a shout if you want me to have a look and we'll discuss the finances later
  2. Dooh! Of course it is - I've got it on a CD swap back in 2006!! Thanks for reminding me John.
  3. Interesting stuff there Roger! Funnily enough only last night I was looking at three variations of a US 70's 45 that I hadn't really noticed before. It was Debbie Taylor's Arista side "Just don't pay" and they were all slightly different. layouts, two of them having a logo on the left hand side of the label, ('Touch of Gold') which isn't on mine - which is what drew me to checking out others for sale. Here's one like mine: Here's the two with the logos: Yes, it's a funny thing this collecting lark isn't it!
  4. So... Say what's on your mind Brett!
  5. Anyone ever seen a stock release of this? Just wondered if there was a flip side to it?
  6. Yes, it definately got a US Roadshow release - maybe the reason you didn't find it is because in the States the album is called "Slow dancin'"? Also it's got a different cover picture. It's on Roadshow BXL 1-3443, released in 1979 Some for sale here:https://www.gemm.com/ddc/search.pl?&disp_ad_format_mode=0&artist=BEN+MOORE&price_above=%2E001&&title=SLOW+DANCIN&price_above=%2E001&&mi=294618410|190001245 Wasn't the other LP titled "Purified"?
  7. Not just those two Steve, I have it on the US Roadshow LP Maybe it got a release in other countries also?
  8. Mark, I think this is CD only - from his 2002 album "Words of caution" on Severn records Although the track was later issued in the UK on the Kent CD "Masterpieces of Modern Soul" But you probably know that!
  9. Yep the title is "All the waiting is not in vain" / "Need your loving everyday" on Dakar 609 from around 1969 Also UK red Atlantic. Great record, but sorry Steve, no spare, - just the one for me! But no doubt you've bagged one by now eh?
  10. This track also got a UK release on a Tamla Motown Various Artists LP "Motown Memories vol 2) in 1968, with sleeve notes by Mike Raven. My copy is mono, but there may possibly have been stereo ones around? The same LP also contains Barbara McNair's "Your gonna love my baby" and R Dean Taylor's "Ghost..." amongst others
  11. If it's only very slightly different, I can't really tell one from the other personally I have the 12" copy, but wouldn't really call it an LP due to the number of tracks on it, it's more like an EP!
  12. Well, not having got a Saadia copy - I'd have to say the Phil La issue is the better recording! But seriously Sean, I thought you once said the other release by Joey on Saadia, was even better! "Girl Your Best Friend Done Took Your Place" ....or did I just think you'd said it? Oh, I also like Little Beaver's "Joey" as well - one nice tune it is!
  13. At a guess Ken, he's probably thinking of "Your love was good for me" - lovely stuff!! Although this song came out quite a few times on both Federal and King....
  14. Nice one Mark She looks a bit 'frightened' though, whilst singing - almost as if she's scared of being there...? Great song though - Cheers!
  15. This album also got a UK release on Anchor records Yes, it's a bit of a mixture of disco'y Soul - I quite like it too!
  16. I thought the US label for this was Daran, not Revue?
  17. Hi, I saw this film on TV a couple of years back. I liked it enough to chase up the DVD and the soundtrack CD Well recommended I'd say!
  18. This sounds nice, never heard of before! The track "Let Me Be" is spot on, had a listen on Youtube. Is it a solid LP all the way thru or a 1-tracker? Ill have a look over at the other forums you guys recomended. Cheers
  19. Bob - Are you thinking of that European release of it on Gifer? I seem to think it's the UA / PM recording - released in Belgium or Holland It's titled "It ain't me" so I think it's that recording, there is more info on here somewhere (as I said earlier - if you can find it!) I've got a copy of the label scan, but there's no point trying to upload it just now, while the site is as it is
  20. Yes Mel, I like the Choo Choo Montgomery also, but mine's a demo of "I can't say no" - I hear the flip side is OK too, but never having heard it I don't know for certain? Back on topic - I've had a hunt through a couple of boxes of London 45s today - no sign of the Jack Ashford 45 though... I'm beginning to wonder if I dreamt that I have a copy - just like Sean & Tony in a way! There's just a few more places to check out before I admit defeat though... I know... I've got far too many - don't anyone start - I get enough of that at home!
  21. Cheers Steve - so the Honey 'Comb' is definate eh - it's the first time I was aware of it, but I must admit I did think it sounded a little different to my copy. Odd though not having been spotted before, as a typo on the label could (and does) happen, but when you combine it with a different matrix no and recording mix - you would have though some other 'anorak'... sorry, 'collector' would have picked up on it before now! I best go and check my spare copy before I flog it eh Yes, agreed the flip side is nice too! - "Women can't live by bread alone" isn't it...
  22. It's a slightly different recording, the PM release also came out on United Artists, but the Tchula was a few years later. Try a search on the forum as it's definately been discussed before, in more detail.
  23. "Fly to my open arms" is quite nice too! Then there's the "Baby I'm so glad" take on the Smith Bros song "There can be a better way" - pity about the Kazoo though Don't recall the Choo Choo track though... must find it out and have a listen to it again.
  24. Nice one Steve! I went and Sky plussed it just to be sure, but when I played it back it was a bad recording, kept on breaking up and missing bits So this is most welcome By the way, what's that about an alternative version of "If I can't fly"? PS - on my copy of Mildred Clark the track is called "Keep trying" - Don't say this is an alternative version too!
  25. Yep, still got mine! I get it out and have a 'play' with it from time to time... if you know what I mean! It's a wobble board we're referring to, for those who don't have one
