Ir's not like Manship not to mention boot or repro if it is ! ! I guess everybody makes mistakes ?
John has a copy on his site right now, but it doesn't mention it's anything
BUT... if you search on Gemm, John's copy is categorised as 'RE-ISSUE'
https://www.gemm.com/item/KING-c-TURNER--AND--HIS--BLUES--BLASTERS/TWO--LOVES/GML8782248/
On both sites however, it does mention it's Big Joe Turner - so maybe it's just an oversight rather than trying to mislead?
BTW - co-incidently, Craig Moerer also has one for sale...

Yes it's featured on a few to my knowledge:
Best of Soul Time: a Selection of Northern Soul Classics from the Archives Ofcolumbia Epic & Date
https://www.amazon.co...a/dp/B00006GF76
The Poppies meet the Glories
https://www.gocontine...n_poppies.shtml
I'm sure there's more than these two...
Edit: - Pete beat me to it

cant remember if it was on here or ebay ages ago someone had a light blue calla copy for sale, apparently it used to belong to mak from belper, never seen another one,
ive had a short intro on calla with goodbye love on the A
a long intro on calla with i only have eyes on the A
and a short intro on calla with i only have eyes on the A
i did have all the numbers wrote down to make sure but i cant bloody find them
I know this was a long time back, but I don't think the blue Calla copy has been featured yet, this is the short intro with "Good-bye love" on the A side.
It would appear that the spoken intro copies are numbered 'C127B' whereas the short intro copies are 'C127BN'
Plus also the slight difference in the timing for the short intro being 2 mins while the spoken intro is longer at 2:28
Here's a scan of the spoken intro DJ copy for comparison.
I know it doesn't help much as to who Frankie is / was though - I've never know that myself, nor been quite sure of the 'he or she' aspect of it either

Dave, John Rowles on an Aussie MCA label 7" from 1969 is by far the best .. and rarest version of this tune ! The Aussie release is a much faster and ballsiermix/take than the US Kapp 7" release .
I've got one of these but it's a New Zealand copy (MCA 3029)
Would this be the same mix / take as the Aussie copy you mentioned?
Can't really say I was aware of it being different, so never thought to compare it...

You cynical old Hector........ Its neither John, I was really surprised by the £500 price tag and thought it would make an interesting topic!......
.....As Sean says a toughie, but in quality worth every penny.

PS. not changed your mind about Bilbao?
OK Blake, I stand corrected!
I thought for a moment you were 'sounding out' the market!
PS - I've not seen you for ages to tell you have I - so we'll be seeing you at the airport

Shirelles
in Record Wants
This was released twice, my copy was the second release - with "Teasin' me" as the A side.
That's not a bad tune, written by Eddie Singleton I seem to think ?
Also not forgetting the song in question by Ashford & Simpson / Jo Armstead
