  1. Never heard it played out myself, it's always been a tape / CD swappers record to me. I got mine going on for 20 odd years back - must dig it out again though!

Auctions eh, you never know what the outcome will be, it's been said lots of times before, you just need a couple of people who stick way over the top bids on something to make sure they get something and up it goes!

    Maybe that's what happened here?

Let's see what the other one on there goes for, I know there's at least 1 more currently for sale....

  2. It's also featured on the UK Philips LP "16 Star tracks" (#6308066)Madeline-Bell-16-Star-Tracks-461773.jpg

Also on the earlier Philips LP "Doin' things" (#SLB 7865)

Sorry - can't help with a 45 of it though, but I do believe it was a Dutch release only as you say.

  3. Just thought I'd add one of their RCA tunes to this - "Man overboard", there was a recent thread on here about this.

Here's a few pics (not mine) of a Portuguese EP it features on:

There's also an LP which I do have, plus a US Mandala 45 of this (which I don't have).

Not forgetting of course the 'rare groove' classic "Shake it up"

  4. The Classic Example 45 also came out on GSF like these - both white and coloured label promos

I've got a 'stock copy' promo of The Classic Example 45, but it's not stamped 'DJ Sample' as the Skull Snaps is, but printed on the label like regular stock promos tend to be - is that what you mean Keith?

It's got both songs on also, unlike the WLP which is Mono / Stereo of the A side

  5. A question someone just may know the answer to.

Some time back I spotted this on a certain Portland, Oregon dealers site:

I meant to ask them if it had a flip side as I've never ever seen one listed, but then forgot all about it until recently, of course the record has gone, so someone bought it.

Normally you see mono / stereo promos of the A side only, like this one:

So does anyone know if it had a flip side and if so what is it?

    Cheers!

  6. ...A bit late I know but I finally unearthed my Portuguese Impressions EP this morning. This is a promo copy and it came without a pic sleeve, but I'm sure there must be a stock copy that has one. It came from a bunch of unplayed Portuguese EPs that I acquired for pennies from a South London junkshop in the late 70s, some of which had sleeves and some of which didn't...

    Nice one Tony!

What were the other tracks they put out on that EP then?
