It was great to get some info about the Jamo Thomas track (the guitar-led "alternative") which I have treasured since it was issued on the Kent cd in the 1990s. How it didn't get a full release by Chess at the time I don't fathom! Ace/Kent did a great job in mastering it. It just leaps out of the speakers...
I found this site when I googled the track which I have been trying to find out more about for years. I had got the released blues version by him on a Marble Arch (Pye cheap label) vinyl LP. This was released in 1966 and featured Chess artists such as Little Milton and Mitty Collier. I always liked this released version but the other version has always been among my favourites. It actually sounds like a possible follow-up to Jamo's Stop The Baby on Conlo to me.
