A clutch of good titles offered up for sale here, looking to raise some funds so losing some pretty nice records. All clips are from the records for sale and haven't been doctored, same with scans. This copy has a really nasty gouge / scratch on the all important side, over pretty much the whole track, and worsening towards the end. You can hear a noise as it hits the scratch, it is more and less noticeable at different points of the record. Now, I've played this out and nobody has seemed to notice but I'm not going to pretend that you can't hear anything, you clearly can! If not for this nasty mark, the record would probably grade a VG+ with good sheen and light marks. Because of this mark I'm not sure how to price this one so I'm looking for offers on it. It has always been a pretty important record in my collection even with the mark... I'm also attaching a full clip recorded as is, and a large scan which I've lightened a little so you can see the mark. DANNY COBB - My Isabella (Jubilee) VG+ Major demand for this unique and excellent R&B dancer, plugged by a few people a year or so ago and since then has refused to turn up. And I've also not seen one offered by anyone else at this price. Major Northern obscurity out of New Orleans. Super rare funky soul out of Baton Rouge. Great deep side on the flip too. Very hard to find, the last copy through ebay as far as I know was a VG copy a couple of years back. This is a solid M- on the 'One Day' side, there is one surface mark on 'My Baby's Gone' which doesn't sound at all, hence an EX grading on that side. $500 / £325 (Paypal gift preferred) I will throw it on ebay if nobody takes it after a couple of days, where I can't really predict what will happen as it hasn't showed up in a while - i.e. might be less, might be a lot more. As far as I'm concerned this is a decent price though, given the amount the small number of copies which have showed have sold for in the past. I know I'm not the only one, though maybe the only one to admit thus far in public, but I really think this 45 is nothing more than 'alright'. Nice enough if formuleric pattern and a poor, poppy vocal - even more so on the B-side! Then again, I am of the opinion that JT Parker is also a highly over-rated bore of a record!!
