Felix Harris Walking In The Night On Counterpart
Helena replied to vince ayres's topic in Record Wants
I'm open to offers. -
Paid about $100 for mine, but that was years ago. Seen two or three other copies on ebay after that, like Seb said, they didn't go for much. Rare one for sure, and a great dancer.

4 Hours Of Function, Live Recordings From Malmoe
Helena replied to Helena's topic in All About the SOUL
Thanks all for your comments. And thanks again Johnny Hitman for an excellent job behind the decks and for recording the night! Yes Steve, we ARE very grateful. It's a lucky combination I think of a great popular venue in the city, a very cultural city with lots of music-interested people and of course four enthusiastic and ambitious residents/promoters... -
4 Hours Of Function, Live Recordings From Malmoe
Helena replied to Helena's topic in All About the SOUL
Thanks Ollie, glad you liked it! Hope to see you in Malm¶ sometime. -
We've been running Function as a monthly across-the-board soul & funk club for over three years now in Malmoe, Sweden. Our crowd (about 500 punters in their 20's- 40's) is fantastic and open-minded. On March 20th, our guest dj Johnny Hitman from Soulkombinat in Berlin, recorded all sets directly from the decks. So now we have 4 hours of uncut music from an entire Function night to share. It's been great fun listening to the mixes and we plan to record more nights in the future and make this a regular feature on our website. Hope you enjoy! Around £20? TWS is the 1st release I believe and might be a bit more than the Hourglass release, but still cheap. Great record; one of the first I ever bought.

A fantastic ballad called "Treat you right", think it's in refosoul.

was just gonna say.. BUT I wouldn't call 'Sock 'em..' soul. Sliced tomatoes meet r&b with a funky touch. 'So much love' is a lot more soulful and not too bad actually. Copy signed by Otis himself.

Bit of an obvious one:

Does anybody know anything about the different versions of Heavenly Thing? Here's a slower version with a jazzy intro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1bnV2MfPCs&feature=related
-
Earlier thread on the subject: Also remember Tim Brown playing both versions back to back at Prestatyn (Queen Vic) years ago. Scribbled it down on my list of records to look out for.
