Join us in sunny Skegness on the Spring Bank Holiday as Nottingham goes to the seaside! “The Britalian Job” & “Ronnie London’s Groove Lounge” present the first “65 Bars” Modernist Weekender @ The Courthouse, Skegness’ number 1 music venue, on the weekend of: Friday May 23rd & Saturday May 24th 2025. Friday kicks off at 8pm with “Saturday Night & Sunday Morning”where resident DJ’s Crew, Shaw, Goodman & London are joined behind the decks by Skegness’ own “Andy Bellamy”. We will be spinning till 1am, bring your dancing shoes, The Courthouse has a large wooden dancefloor that’s too good to waste! Saturday lunchtime from 12pm - We will be outside in the enormous courtyard, a glorious suntrap with decked terraces. Vintage clothes, shoes and record stalls a plenty and a large selection of very reasonably priced food & drink, all to a soundtrack of classic tunes spun on chunky black vinyl by an eclectic selection of seasoned and up & coming DJ’s. Please bring your wheels, ridden or in a van, we don’t care, as our first ever “65 Bars” scooter competition will be held in the afternoon, followed by the traditional seafront scooter cruise (organised by Skegness Area Scooterists) Saturday night from 8pm till 1am we open up two rooms. Room one welcomes “The Britalian Job” with residents, Mark’s Crew & Shaw playing their usual eclectic mix of Mod & Soul favourites, R&B, Latin, British Beat and skanking Jamaican Ska, finishing the evening as ever with a double-decking last hour of classic old school dancefloor fillers! Room two welcomes “Ronnie London’s Groove Lounge” with residents Ronnie London & Karl Goodman playing a smooth mix of Northern & Blue-eyed Soul, Boogaloo, Tamla, Mod Jazz and Hammond grooves. Guest DJ’s for the evening across both rooms will need no introduction as we are joined by our old friends “Nick Wain” & “Martin Derby” who have previously packed the dancefloor in “The Britalian Job” , “Ronnie Londons” and more recently “Saturday Night & Sunday Morning”. If they don’t get your feet moving then we’re not sure anyone can! 1 great venue, 2 days of sun, sea, sounds and scooters with 3 of Nottingham’s most iconic Club nights! Friday Night-£10, Saturday Night - £12 - Weekender - £18. Tickets Available from - Tickets.65bars@hotmail.com We’ll see you in Court!
